Sore biceps: Most likely you're breaking your elbows a bit as you catch. What are some of the better cars for carrying a single or double?
Sure a minivan will work as ghudler says. How about smaller cars?
I'm trying to figure out if I can do it with a compact sedan safely for years to come, or if I need to have a station wagon.

you're mixing concepts here if you mean can one pound consumed raise your weight more than one pound immediately, the answer is no. that one pound of food is just one more pound on the scale if you mean can one pound consumed cause you to gain more than one pound of fat after your body processes it,...

watch for overuse
I don't know what your base was before the Holiday Challenge, but I'm guessing from your question that this was a big step up in volume of C2 rowing. I personally think it's healthy to have some variety of exercise besides rowing. Even when I was 18, lots of rowing would make me creaky. More so now....
