Re: Rowing "Gloves"
I found a nice solution -"New Grip" gloves. These are not actually gloves, but more like pads. They allow an excellent grip on the erg handle which in turn allows for concentration on rowing, not hand discomfort. Furthermore, the top of the hand is open thus not enveloping the hand in heat and swea...

That's it, Ignore me! I've only taught more people to row/erg, than read this forum, people from 2 - 80 years old. Sorry, but that kind of crap is a bit annoying! Paul, I had no idea that it was you who made that comment... Astonishing. I've always respected your views. Are you really saying...

" I can't imagine why you would not be in the 2:30-2:40 range right out of the box. And quickly improving on that." What are your thoughts on what he said about the 2:30-2:40 range? Ignore him. Everyone starts from a different place. This is particularly true for people who approach rowing after ye...

In my experience the differences are: Sound - The D is quieter (My model C growls, my wife's model D purrs) Monitor - PM2 vs PM3 (The model D's PM3's card reader was important enough to me that I upgraded my Model C to a PM3) Central joint - The Model D is much easier to take apart and put back toge...

Re: Gym with C2 in Charlottesville, VA?
Hi Dave, I don't, but I looked at the Rower Finder page and there are a number of other possibilities for you to explore! Good luck. Alissa Thanks, I did look at those. Two are even more costly, and the third seems to have closed. This would be a gift membership for my niece, so I'd like a nice cle...

Gym with C2 in Charlottesville, VA?
The ACAC heath club has a few but seems to charge an astonishing $179/month plus a one time $214 signup fee.
Does anyone know of any other health clubs or gyms in the Charlottesville area that have Concept 2's (and a more down to earth cost)?
Thanks,
Dave
