Re: Rebuilding RowPro database.
Thanks both, I use the RowPro data for setting up training sessions against my previous rows. As you say, previous records are available in the log book so I think I won't worry about it; I'll soon have rows in RowPro to train against. The cloud aspect of 5.4 would actually be a hinderance to me as ...

Rebuilding RowPro database.
Due to an embarrassingly foolish mix-up over the identity of a SSD, doubly so 'cos I work in I.T. support, I've managed to eradicate my RowPro installation (and the rest of the drive) with no backup of the database. I've still got the full history in my online log and on the PM5 so the question is c...

3-D printed parts for Model B ergo
A while ago I uploaded a design for a lever to allow easy adjustment of drag factor from the seat and I've now added a 1 to 10 scale to accompany it. The scale is designed to attach to a drag factor reducing 'speed ring'. Adjustment lever : http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:753360 Scale : http://www....

Re: Upgrade PM on model B?
I've had a reply from Concept telling me that the speed ring is no longer available, at least in the UK, so . . . I've just made one of my own out of 3mm hardboard. It took a couple of iterations to get the cutouts in the right place but now I've got a drag factor of 95 to 225, fairly linear across ...

Re: Upgrade PM on model B?
Thanks Jag, Actually you mentioned this to me just about a year ago on another thread. I e-mailed C2 in the UK at the time but can't remember getting a reply.
I've just sent another e-mail asking if this is still available. (It's not shown in the shop accessories or parts sections of the website.)

Re: Upgrade PM on model B?
The shop website says the standard C2 (single) slides work with the model B - http://www.concept2.co.uk/indoor-rowers/accessories/slides . New ergo? - Probably one day but my Model B is in the shed so cosmetic appearance isn't a problem. Rollers / handle / cord /seat replaced, and flywheel bearings ...

Re: Upgrade PM on model B?
Hi Drachma, I hope you don't mind me going off-topic for a sec. What is this Cardboard Flywheel Housing Upgrade of which you speak? Is this of similar history to my Duct Tape Wrapped Over The Cage upgrade on my model B or is there a template somewhere? (My duct tape is starting to peel off so I'm lo...

Re: New 1 minute and 100m rankings!
Yes easy on a Model C, I've done it you can get the flywheel moving and not have the monitor register your rowing. I've a Model B with PM5, so similar to Model C. I noticed it when I go from a warm-up to the main work using RowPro. If I'm going for a time I'll stop the flywheel manually before the ...

Re: New 1 minute and 100m rankings!
I was thinking of the flywheel spinning when you set up the piece - The timer says zero until your first stroke, but that stroke isn't from stationary. The piece has to be rowed as a single distance thus negating the rolling start.

Re: New 1 minute and 100m rankings!
A rolling start on a 100m would be an easy cheat too. Thinking back to my water rowing days, every coach I had preferred a different start for a sprint race . . . 1/2, 3/4, 1/2, extending to full slide after 6 strokes . . . One firm-pressure full length, then 3/4 extending to full slide after 4 stro...

What a star!
I was checking the fluids in my Ford Focus today, accidentally dropped one of the filler caps and it fell down onto the engine undershield with no chance of reaching it from above. I looked underneath to see what sort of screwdriver I needed to undo the undershield screws from underneath the car and...

One for the RowPro wishlist.
I've had RowPro and a new PM5 on my old model B ergo for a couple of months now, and we're getting on great together. When I set up a timed or distance piece I'll usually add a pace boat or one of my previous rows or a combination of both for a bit of added interest and assistance. The thing is, tho...

Re: Model C with PM2 Issue
That is much more money than I want to put into this older machine. Go on, buy a PM5. Bigger and brighter! If your model C is in excellent condition as you say, then it's going to be a lot cheaper than shelling out for a new ergo. I recently bought a PM5 for my old model B - it wouldn't win any pri...

Re: HRM not remembered
I absolutely agree with the OP here. I'm the only person who uses my ergo and I don't use any others so have no need of storage on a personal USB stick. I was surprised my PM5 didn't remember my HR belt. I can't see any reason why this can't be done and was wondering on the design rationale for leav...

Re: Part replacement
Call or e-mail them. There is a note on the site somewhere saying that the catalogue only shows the commonest parts and to call them for others.
I'd be extremely surprised if they couldn't supply you with the stretcher.
