Chi running
Have you read the book "Chi Running"? It's written by an ultra marathoner/tai chi practicioner who applies the basic concepts of tai chi to running. I love running but quit after years of running because of multiple overuse injuries ... shin splints, plantar fasciitis, IT band issues/tendonitis, and...

awesome
That's an amazing story, thanks for your post! I read your two blogs about your weight loss/cholesterol correction and the addition of exercise to your program, and I'm trying it! Would you mind commenting on the consumption of fruit and alcohol? Fruit obviously has carbs, and some say that alcohol ...

Stretch after rowing??
I've read elsewhere that you are actually stretching while you are rowing, so you don't need to stretch after you row. I'm not sure I buy this.
Any thoughts? Thanks.

Sore upper back??
Hi all, relative newbie here, been rowing 20-30 minutes per day, about 5-6 days per week. Recently I've had some soreness in my upper back between the shoulder blades. I assume it's sore muscles that I've never used before. Anyway, should I row less to allow it to heal, or row through it? Thanks for...

Twice a day?
Is there any benefit or harm to rowing twice a day rather than one long row? Thanks for your opinions ....

Indo-Row Santa Monica
FYI, I've been rowing off and on for the past year, and I took the Indo-Row class at Revolution Fitness in Santa Monica on Saturday. It was awesome. One on one instruction from a great instructor, very motivating, high intensity class. I highly recommend it for anybody in the southern cal area. Chee...

Buy a Concept2 or use the gym??
I currently row on a Concept 2 at my local gym, and I'm considering purchasing my own for convenience, etc. I'm curious as to how many of you own your own Concept 2 vs row on one at the gym ... (I'm a little cheap and looking for encouragement to buy my own!).

Best shorts for rowing???
OK, I give up. What are the best shorts for a man to wear while rowing??? Standard running shorts don't seem to contain things as well, and get bunched up, etc. Biking shorts seems to work a bit better, and I'm wondering if there is a rowing-specific garment or if you all have a better suggestion. t...

Average Heart Rate?
Could you please comment on your average heart rate while rowing a steady state (ie, non-interval) piece, such as a 10K? Thanks.

Twice a day??
I would appreciate hearing your comments on how often you row. My understanding is that rowing is a low/no impact sport and therefore can be performed daily, 7 days/week. How about twice a day rows? Is this considered ok, or does it put one at risk of an overuse injury?
Thanks for your opinion.
