A Great Team and a Great Trip
I'm finally back home a few days and maddly digging out from all my mail, email, phone messages, etc. (Dennis -- I'll gladly trade you for the snow -- OK, just the first blizzard.....) Overall, the team arrangements were excellent. Lisa & Brickett provided great logistics information, etc. The coach...

2k Test
Hi All, I'm posting my 2k times given my next week's schedule probably will not allow for a 2k test with a good chance to improve on today's 6:33. Since the website independent verification process isn't working, I sent the verification codes directly to Lisa & Bill.) 10/9/2006 6:38.2 10/16/2006 6:3...

Concept2 "Webclock" Off?
Just a note -- it says I posted that last message at 4:50 a.m. September 26th -- my time in Rose Valley seems to be 9 hours earlier (7:50 p.m., 9/25) -- I knew time in The Valley went a bit slower and is always behind the rest of the East Coast -- but surprised to find it 9 hours slower!! Jim Castel...

September 5k Test -- 17:55.0
Bob's 5k is awesome and an inspiration to us all! I don't spend much time on this BB and usually only go to post my training efforts once every week or three. Maybe I just don't like to be reminded of the effort any more than I have to be. :-) My training schedule and travel made today the best time...

5k August Test 18:01.7
Because of my vacation schedule, I did my 5k August test today even if only a short time after my 18:19. 1 July 31st test. Went for 18:00 and just missed it -- 8:57 halfway, 18:01.7 for the distance.

July 5k
Did an 18:19.0 for the 5k on 31 July. Was more ambitious to start out but couldn't hold it. Still working back from a long break earlier this summer. Other distractions and my heavy yard work took much longer than I was hoping after my great trip to Europe. Maybe by the end of August I'll be closer ...

My Training
Last year I followed the suggested 6 day training program in the morning, took Sunday off. Also tried to fit in a weight circuit routine 2-3 times a week in theafternoons. I did more than 2 Million meters lat year, lots more than ever before since I averaged 3-4 erg sessions a week instead of 6. Aft...

Hello
I'm Jim Castellan, 61 y.o. HWM from Rose Valley, PA, a suburb of Phildelphia. I was on the USIRDT last year. It helped motivate and provided some variety in my training. I met some wonderful athletes while winning my category at the Euro Open and CRASH-Bs. I'm just back from a month trip to Europe a...
