I think I was the only foreigner in the live event but may well have been some virtual competitors in the Open event.
PS Hopefully rock a better half marathon tomorrow for Sub7 which will be my 47th at this distance.

Re: Finnish Half Marathon and Marathon
I was trying to send you a photo but cannot shrink it enough. Hotel Krapi wasnt like it sounds. :) I got a last minute trip as mum was still in hospital. I rocked up expecting the pre-2 hour weigh in but noone in sight at 8am. I went down to the lake for a while as there wasnt much action before 8:4...

Re: Finnish Half Marathon and Marathon
Please note that you are going to be entering the Open event, (unless you have connections to Finnish Rowing). Also that generally under 23s do 60 minutes, all women plus men over 70 do half marathon, and men 23-69 do full marathon although it is possible for women to do full marathon or men to half...

Re: Starnberg
I don't get more than 2 sessions a week at the moment. Mum is in hospital after a fall so don't know how that is going to affect it. Hopefully will have another c2ctc.com go and then see some longer stuff in March. I have the Finnish half marathon on the horizon 26 April for my last blast at 1 hour ...

Re: Starnberg
Seeing the passion for going back through the results I found that I attended in 2012, 2014 and 2018. In those days I could do 6900m. Best this year is 6585 - although now 2 hip replacement and 7 years on. It is on my consideration for 2026 - just hope that the organisers get the date out quicker th...

A live event would be great and hopefully it would be just a single 2k. Cannot commit, but will be keeping a lookout.

Re: Indoor USA National Championships
Mike- congratulations on the brilliant run and row. Hope you do well in future races too. Being a LWT does cause me some stress of how I prepare as well. Only once failed to make it on the day and it sometimes looks that I would have got nearly the same result entered as a HWT. I use it to try to st...

Re: Sub 7 Indoor Rowing Club (UK)
Yep -the 60-64 category is almost impossible to get a British Record.
I don't fancy my chances at any, but in my eyes the easiest would be the half marathon. At least I could do the required pace 15 years ago.
First time in new category is the 4792m HOCR challenge

Re: Sub 7 Indoor Rowing Club (UK)
yep - final 2 squeezed in this week which explains why they are 95% rather than really good. Should be in the records soon. 5k - 22:28.8 Should have been 9 -15 secs faster if I hadnt started too strongly for my own good and blown up by 3k in. HM - 1:42:59.8 saved to the last day which meant only 50 ...

Hey ho big 60. Been busy knocking some 55-59 records recently as a few heavyweight ones haven't been claimed
