Re: Sub 7 Indoor Rowing Club (UK)

Yep -the 60-64 category is almost impossible to get a British Record.

I don't fancy my chances at any, but in my eyes the easiest would be the half marathon. At least I could do the required pace 15 years ago.

First time in new category is the 4792m HOCR challenge

Re: Sub 7 Indoor Rowing Club (UK)

yep - final 2 squeezed in this week which explains why they are 95% rather than really good. Should be in the records soon. 5k - 22:28.8 Should have been 9 -15 secs faster if I hadnt started too strongly for my own good and blown up by 3k in. HM - 1:42:59.8 saved to the last day which meant only 50 ...

Re: In Person international event lists..

On-line events where you don't need to race together are great for me. I am unlikely to be able to do the ones where you need Ergdata and all link together.

Re: In Person international event lists..

https://www.rowingindoors.ch/ - keep an eye on this. Looks like this is definitely a live ergo event on 1 March 2025 in Zug, Switzerland although the entry form isnt there at present. https://www.britishrowing.org/indoor-rowing/challenges-and-events/indoor-events-calendar/ - a few here although the ...

Re: 2025 World Rowing Indoor Championships

Are there any afterparties at the world championships? Interesting idea, but a little tricky in a purely virtual environment - perhaps you can raise a glass on screen at the end of the race, (although that might only be water). :D Yep - there were some good socials around 2005 to 2010, (particularl...

Re: Thoughts on BRIC 2024

My thoughts: i) warmup - I have never liked the constrained time limit on this but it has always been a feature of BRIC and many other races. ii) cooldown - it would be nice but perhaps make do with a walk around rather than ergo. Again with limits on facilities probably not going to happen iii) sho...

https://www.kettwiger-rg.de/termine/2025/2/2/deutsche-meisterschaften-beim-nwrv-indoor-cup - The race you refer to is indeed 2 Feb but I think you will find that the age groups are 1k and not 2k. I would like to help but what I can do will depend on my 90 year old mums health at the time. If it was ...

Re: 2025 World Rowing Indoor Championships

I have no chance of taking part in this but then not sure why i would want to either. Doing 2k on Saturday, and 2 x 2k on Sunday within less than 5 hours would be nigh on impossible and if you dont have your own rowing machine not even the most helpful mate would let you do that.

Re: 2025 World Rowing Indoor Championships

Hi all, I’m relatively new to C2 Rowing and have some questions.. 1. I’m keen on competing in Switzerland for the C2 indoor world titles and want to know the pre requisites for doing so? 2. I’ll be 40 a month after the date of the worlds, do I compete In the 40-49 or 29-39? 3. Are there prizes for ...

Re: Cross Team Challenge - Discussion Thread

I am taking it to mean that you cannot accelerate the flywheel during the rest breaks. If it still turning that is ok, probably will be as only 75 secs rest.
