Shows ya how much I know. Although, the only Model C I've ever used (San Diego, USA) had the grooves. I figured they all did. Shame on me. Does CII ever come out with "releases" of the rower between letters?

Re: Model C damper lever slips!

Model C?? Or Model D?? :? The "C" has little grooves that the damper lever is supposed to lock into while you row. You must REALLY be rockin' and rollin' during your workouts for the lever to slip completely out of the groove on a Model C! ;) The Model D, on the other hand, was made without the inde...

Again, I meant no disrespect to anyone on this forum; quite the opposite, in fact. To be honest, I really would LOVE to see more activity over here. It's hard to relate to the various threads/posts on the UK forum when the Brits talk about local events. And that's another thing...why are there no cl...

Hi Jim: What I would suggest you do if you would like a more lively discussion on this issue is to check out the C2 UK site. Here is the link (if you didn't have it already): http://www.concept2.co.uk/forum/ This is NOT meant to disrespect the knowledgable posters here. There is just a larger viewin...

Congrats on your decision, Andy! I just received my C2/D a week ago. It's a cinch to put together - 30 minutes (counting the unpacking) and you're up and rowing! The PM3 is nice, as well, and I'd give the Model 'D' a '10'...if it weren't for the ugly baby blue color!  Good luck! You'll ...

Hi David... I love it. It's great. I'm not thrilled with the color, but other than that it's sweet. Ridiculously easy to set up (all of 8 screws...took me about 20 minutes), and the PM3 monitor w/Log Card is kinda cool. I'm extremely happy with it. Are you thinking of buying one yourself? If s...

Mine is a somewhat similar story (though I've never completely abandoned exercise since I started doing regular workouts starting around the age of 20...I'm 53 now). Did the running/jogging thing for about 15 years - until the genetically bad back started to complain. Took up cycling (another 10 yea...

Took the plunge today...Introducing myself

Not sure where I should have posted this, so I chose the 'Training' forum because it seems to have the most activity. (For those who frequent the UK/C2 forum, this is pretty much a duplicate post). I'm a 53-year-old male from sunny (except for the past week!) San Diego, CA. I've been lurking around ...
