Competition & Weight training

The YMCA that I work out in is having a rowing competition. My question is this while I am competing this week should I continue to lift weights as well as other cardio or should I skip this week and start back after competition? :?

switch it up!

I think if you do any one thing long enough you have trouble switching to other things. I worked out only on the eliptical machines and got stuck! Then it was the stairmaster...Now I row everyday but I add running,eliptical or treadmill and I dont find it as difficult to switch to something new... :...

I buy it because when I was running a good bit, I did it in short bursts and I really felt better afterward and lost more weight than when I did longer training sessions...

10 minute row

I havent been rowing for very long...question is this...I have the tension set on 10 and I row for 10 minutes...I never get over 2150 meters what is a good average for 10 minutes? :roll:
