Re: faulty batteries or faulty monitor?
I had the same problem at the beginning of June - it is most likely and issue with the pickup/tachometer. You'll need to order a new one from C2 and install it. That's what fixed my issue (after troubleshooting every other way). That's what I'm beginning to wonder too; I neglected to mention in my ...

Re: faulty batteries or faulty monitor?
Hmmm ... I replaced the batteries, checked the rower type as per Jon, plugged it back into the erg (it's a C btw) and now there's no communication at all b/w the monitor and the erg. The display lights up fine but no stroke rate, pace, nadda
Any ideas?

Re: faulty batteries or faulty monitor?
It's a PM3 and yes, the batteries were left in the monitor. The battery compartment appears OK.

faulty batteries or faulty monitor?
I've resurrected my erg from the depths of my garage over the last few days only to discover that I am getting incorrect readings on the monitor. Time, stroke rate, pace are all incorrect and highly variable.
Where do I begin to look?
Thanks in advance.

Can't get it up ...
My lever won't stay up. No, not that lever ... the one on the side of the C2 that controls the damper. It only sticks at 10 or slides all the way down to 1. Any brilliant suggestions? I'm thinking of wrapping it in some sort of tape at the point where the lever comes in contact with the fan shroud t...

Re: slides first impressions
I'll make my usual suggestion of Strapless 10m Per Stroke (S10PS) practice while training on the Erg Thanks for the reminder Paul. I've tried S10PS the last couple of times, feels good, much more controlled. I'm not going to budge on the ab thing yet though. I'm not sure of the reason, but they are...

Erratic output on PM3
I'm experiencing erratic readings (SR, pace, etc.) on my PM3, thinking it is dust on the sensor but wanted to check for advice before I took it apart.
Thanks,
Mark

slides first impressions
I just did a 30' piece with my slides for the first time. 1) I felt that my abs were much more engaged, and my low back less so, with the slides than without - this is most welcome, since I hate regular ab work and I have a sore low back as proof. 2) My average HR and max HR were practically identic...

lateral stability seat addon thingy
I have lost the link to the after market seat adapter that gives the C2 seat lateral movement, promoting even leg push and abdominal tension.
