Go Vet Women CRASH-Bs

Hey - my first time on this forum but probably not the last. I noticed (since I'm racing in it and checked) that there are 29 women racing in the 50-54 hywt. age group. Yahoo and very exciting, by far the largest group ever in this category! I remember watching from the stands in 1986 and there were...

Wow -very interesting. It will be interesting to see who ends up racing and what their times are. Will be interesting if a trend begins and if more people begin Indoor Rowing. Hey iced in for two days here in Austin -no school. . . no nothing. At least I didn't have to shovel anything. Not like you ...

Pam -You did it! It worked! Hey I tried to send you a private message a couple days ago (via the private message option) to let you know that I believe you paid for my Novotel banquet dinner -19 Euros. It was on the room bill. When I checked out, the front desk said you had already paid for it. I ne...

I'm responding (finally) to you -Paul about about being so busy with business and not able to do a test piece or feel good enough about doing a test piece. . . I can totally understand. It's happened to me every year until this one. Real life and guilt about doing something for myself and therefore ...

Alright -I did it, got it over with. I decided in the middle of last night that I simply could not bear any more speed work -it kills me (which unfortunately means I should probably be doing more of it it). So today was the day. Now I can get back into regular training, which after the past 2 weeks ...

Hey -I'm finally getting back to you all - Slugbutt's suggestion and description worked. I printed it out and gave to our part time rigger boatman. He made a platform and clamped it on. The rower is very happy and even though she had not erged for about 8 months did well on her test piece because sh...

Well -it's late but I did it! My last 5k test piece. My training in September always takes a far back seat to coaching. There never seems to be enough time in the day to get everything done. It's difficult for me to make working out a priority because . . . it isn't. 19.09.0 for 5 K, 154.9 split. An...

Hey -thanks everybody -lots of good ideas and feedback. I went to the right place! I'll let the rower know all of these things. I think SlugButt's(!) contraption might work. I can visualize it and wil have rigger make one. The other ideas about foot level etc. are helpful as well -thanks so much all...

Hyper extension of legs at the finish

Hello I was looking around the topic pages and didn't find one that I thought would be appropriate for this question. So I made a new topic page. I'm a collegiate rowing coach and have 20 year old female athlete who hyperextends her knees at the finish of each stroke. Her knees bother her terribly w...

Alright -I did it: 156.3 in 19.23.1.

Again I was overlly agressive in the beginning -I'm older and should know better- and didn't control the piece, the piece controlled me. So now since I've done 2 of these. I'm going to start off with next one at 156.0 spilt and move down from there.
