Re: one USB stick for two PM5?
Yep. Works like a champ! ..Keep USB power on the PM5s. Do workouts, let them accumulate in PM5 memory. ..When ready, plug in thumb drive. (May have to fine-tune optimum sequence of button pushing and inserting thumb drive.) ..Transfer workouts from PM5 internal memory to thumb drive. ..Repeat in nex...

Re: one USB stick for two PM5?
Good idea, that - snap the screen with a cell phone camera before it fades. Both machines are in a long USB cable length of a surge supressor/battery pack, so I will hook them up. My needs are simple. Just an easy 4-10K cruise around the recreation room evenings, when time permits, watching 20-40 ye...

Re: one USB stick for two PM5?
Spoke too soon. Stick was plugged into, and recognized by, PM5 on the Ski-Erg. PM5 failed to record session on either USB stick or internal memory. Reliability being primary criterion, over Convenience, pen+paper may be solution.

Re: one USB stick for two PM5?
Thanks all for the replies. Appears to be working now. Changed to another 16GB stick and plugged the USB cable for power into the ski-erg. (Batteries, showing 100% when installed three days ago, now showed 88% with a "Low Battery" warning.) The first 16GB stick had been working great plugged full ti...

one USB stick for two PM5?
Can one USB stick, one user, be used to accumulate sessions on more than one PM5? It seems not, but I would like to confirm.
Just looking for a convenient, reliable, way to move session records from PM5 to PC (thence to online log). Thanks.

Usually sign of bearing race getting shredded in one of the rollers.

Re: Seated skierg
Just for a week or so; two handed on the rower now, but no hard pulling. Have Model B with retrofitted handle (not the original wood bar. Put on a leather work glove, fingers through the holes in handle, pull to center of chest. Hardest part was countering tendency to lean which off balanced the seat.

Re: My feet are huge- Model B with Flexfoot
My two cents:
..just row strapless; easy and nice when you get used to it
..get some cheap rubber/plastic clogs or slippers and leave them strapped in (use large zip-ties if need be.
Both have worked for me (Model B; size 13 shoe).

Kroil. Use sparingly, presuming the clutch has been leading a generally clean life and is not gunked up with grease. Speaking as a copier repair service manager manager in a previous life. In some places, paper feed rollers which had to roll freely when paper was advanced to next stage, roller beari...

Re: Seated skierg
I mostly use the SkiErg facing outward, like it was a set of wall pulley weights in those old boxing gyms. Plenty of stroke variation available: pushing out and down, across and down, with trunk twist, full butterfly, left/right foot forward. Much of that works while seated, facing away. Actually, I...

Re: Tall user
I am 6 ft 2 inches in height, 36 inch shirt sleeve. Skierg is on the roll-around floor board, not wall mounted. Standing mid-board, arms fully stretched, hands will rest atop the pulleys. Standing with heels at the back lip of the floor board, arms fully stretched, grips in hand, there is 8-10 inche...

Re: how much stress do skiergs put on your knees?
You can do deep knee bends on it if you want to, as well as deep waist bends. There is a remarkable number of arm pulls, body lunges, and general dance around moves. None of these is efficient use of energy for racking up meters. The classic, efficient, approved form is a gravity drop of the upper b...

Re: SkiErg 2 Handles
I take the prescribed grip to be with fingers wrapped around the "leg" of the green handle in a loose grip, foot of the handle pointing outward, force of the pull taken by the metacarpal (first, hidden bone) of little finger. I use this maybe 50% of the time. Somewhat less than 50% of the time I shi...

Re: How quickly does time pass while SkiErging?
Alternatively, turn the SkiErg around in front of the TV. Stand on the platform backwards and watch TV. Use an alternate arm swimming-like overhead pull on the SkiErg. Add some trunk twist for flexibility and core muscle development. Or use a two-hand butterfly swimming stroke; use a lunge position ...

Re: How quickly does time pass while SkiErging?
The SkiErg is "slower" than the rower. We have the exercise machines in the bedroom, in front of the TV. With the rower, back and forth motion, eyes can stay on the screen. With the SkiErg, head bobbing down and up, not. The more so because with the noise level we depend on captions for dialog. Ofte...
