Re: Looking for a workout

I’ve been rowing for fun and general fitness for years. I’m not fast and never will be. At 67, I though my days of beating my old personal bests were over. I’d taken instructor training through UCanRow2 back in 2015. It was a great in person class that I found beneficial even though I’m not going fo...

Re: Old C2 Forum people, where are they now?

I’ve been around since 2006 and still check in here occasionally. I’ve never posted much, though.

Re: Wanted Used PM3 Monitor

Ben,

There was a hidden menu that allowed me to change it to a Model D/E. I tested it on my Model D, and it's working perfectly now. Also, my USB connection works. Please let me know if you're still interested.

Take care,
Bobbi

Re: Wanted Used PM3 Monitor

Thanks, Citroen. I had tried changing it with the C2 utility, and it said I couldn't, but I got an email from C2 customer support with the hidden menu info and I was able to change it. It's working fine now.

Re: Wanted Used PM3 Monitor

Ben,

I doubt mine would work for you. I bought it as a retrofit for a Model B, and I can’t change it to a Model D. I tried it on mine today and the data wasn’t accurate.

If there’s anyone out there who wants it for a Model B or C, let me know!

HI, Ben,

Great! I'll test the PM3 this week and let you know if it's still working in case you're interested.

Re: Wanted Used PM3 Monitor

Where are you located? I have a PM3 that I retired in 2015 when I upgraded to a PM5. I'll need to put some batteries in it and see if it's still working. (It was last time I checked.) If so, I'm willing to consider selling it.

Take care,
Bobbi

Re: Updating an old Model B

Hi, Patrick, I had a Model B from 2001-2017 when I replaced it with a Model D. I gave the B to a friend, and it's still going strong. C2 says extra seat rollers are recommended if heavy use would cause excessive roller wear. I never used extras, and yes, they need to be replaced periodically. I neve...

Re: Pete Plan Help

Hi, Joe, Those are different days on each line, and the bracketed entries are optional since beginners are probably not ready to row six days per week. Details about the beginner plan can be found here: https://thepeteplan.wordpress.com/beginner-training/ There are other suggestions for beginners on...

Re: Weight Loss Support

Welcome, Dar! Congrats on the new erg and your first meters. Keep it up (but don't overdo it)! I've had a model B since 2001, but I didn't take advantage of it for a long time. I started rowing regularly a year ago as part of an attempt to feel and move better. I'm 60 and have osteoarthritis. My wei...

Japan and Friends Indoor Rowers invited people to join in another thread. I'm considering them because my current challenge team seems dormant.

Hi, Susan. Welcome! I'm 60 and have been trying to get in better shape (with much success) for the past year. Rowing regularly has been part of that. Please feel free to email me through my profile if you'd like to chat. Happy rowing!

Re: Vegetarian and Vegan Rowers - New Team

Hi, Tim! I'll be happy to join your team for challenges, and I enjoy chatting with other veggies. I've been vegetarian for about 28 years. My affiliation team is Row Pain, Row Gain. I was a founding member (though I didn't vote for the name), so I feel the need to stay there for affiliation. RPRG is...

Re: Upgrade My B or Buy a C?

Ham, I got a Model B 10 years ago when my gym closed. (I paid $75 for it, but they never cashed the check, so it was free!) I upgraded to a PM3. I also replaced the seat, seat rollers, and handle. Since I use the B for exercise and don't compete, it fits my needs well. My current gym has a C (which ...
