Re: Total Quadriceps Tendon Rupture rehab....

Well, I've answered my own question. 3 months post surgery today and I rowed a slow 2K with no problems, pain or discomfort. I have limited ROM in both knees (about 120 degrees), but I can still get some good upper body training in without as much leg involvement. By far the worst injury I've ever ...

Re: Total Quadriceps Tendon Rupture rehab....

I had a bad fall on the ice on 2/14 and sustained the above injury. In layman's terms I tore the large tendon completely off the kneecap. Worst injury of my life. The surgeons reattached the tendon by drilling holes in the kneecap and using some fancy suture material. Anyway, I'm in a full length l...

Trochanteric Bursitis

I am an infrequent poster [mainly because I spend most of my free time cross-training]. The other day, after a very intense 40 min of interval work on my bicycle, I developed [hours later] what my net research suggests is Trochanteric Bursitis. I have been training since my early 20's and have done ...

Then I'd suggest trying some other padding options before even thinking about the tractor seat- that high back on it prevents you from laying back much at the catch. Options that have worked for me for marathon rows: * one or two of the C2 seat pads * a folded towel * bubble wrap (great stuff, come...

it's part #543 and sells for $57.75, ready to adapt to any C2 Indoor Rower. Sorry we did not actually design this. It's an off-the-shelf garden tractor seat that we tested and liked for use by the elderly, rehab patients and grossly overweight. C2JonW wELL, i'M 58... A SKINNY 175 LBS AT 6 FEET.... ...

See my post below on Pyriformis Syndrome. I have the same problem. Since I also run I'm not sure if the running or rowing or both aggravate the problem. Google stretching exercise for this. That has really helped.

Piriformis Syndrome

I cross-train with running (4 miles 3-4 times a week), erg rowing (6-7 K 3-4 times a week) and bodybuilding (2 times a week on a circuit). I have developed SEVERE localized sciatic pain in my right glute. It does not radiate. here's the question. Are there any "only rowers" out there who have develo...
