Lubricating Flywheel
Are there any instructions for lubricating the flywheel? My erg has now over 4K (km) and was interesting in lubing the flywheel as I hear it squeeks when it is coming to stop.

Re: What am I doing wrong?
I am rowing at the damper setting 3. Stroke rate is 18-20. Usually exercise in the morning. Starting to do 5K twice a day instead of 10K in one sitting. Also, will include interval training twice a week.

What am I doing wrong?
I have been rowing for almost two years now and my times have not been improved. I am still averaging at 2:25 for 10K in one sitting. :( . I believe I am not doing something right. The only good thing that I have lost 25 lbs in last two years from 210 to 185. Food intake is pretty similar during the...

Concept 2 Rail
My concept 2 rail is it an incline i.e. the foot-rest end is about 2.5 cm lower than the far end. Is it OK or the rail has to be absolutely horizontal? Any feedback will most appreciated.

Thanks for the discussion so far
So, last time, I put the damper at 1 and was able row upto 12000 in 60 min. At the end of it, I was able to continue for further distance while in case of setting the damper at 6, I was totally out of energy. Should I continue to set the damper at 1 and continue with the rowing or should I bring it ...

Difference between damper settings and calories burned
I want to understand the following scenario: I erged 11000 in 60 min with a damper setting of 3 and the monitor shows the calories burned were 575. Then I erged 11000 in 60 min with a damper setting of 6 and the monitor shows the calories burned were 575. I believe I put in lot more efforts w...

Thanks for all your inputs, my current work schedule and home commitment will allow me to perform first set in the morning (before everybody gets up) and the second set in the evening (when everybody else is watching TV). Based upon the feedback on the board, I will try to continue two separate time...

Two shorter sessions or one longer session
I have started rowing to reduce my weight and generally increase my fitness level. I have a lingering question: Is a longer session (10K) is better than two shorter sessions (7.5K each) one in the morning and the other one in the evening? Any inputs will be appreciated.
