Re: Polar H7 Compatibility

H7 can only pair with one BT device at a time. If you want to pair with phone and PM5 has to be a Wahoo Tickr X. (So stupid Polar did't throw Ant+ in the H10, cutting your nose off to spite your face) I have had my h7 for 2 1/2 years now and had some fun a long the way. If it stays damp even when th...

Re: blogs

I have no blog in the fight but love giving advice, so: Start an advert thread pointing to your blog hosted @ Wordpress or wherever. Entitle it " On my blog today" or "Whass happnin' blogwards?" Bloggers would post a brief subject header, ex.: "Random thoughts on spirituality, Hummingbird nectar, c...

Re: blogs

Because of how Old C2-UK / Indoor Sports Services dealt with the old training blogs I am of the thinking that no one will start writing on a 'New Rowing Blog' site unless they have full control of the content they are producing. The ability to export all their content in a Wordpress format would be ...

Re: Amazon Fire Tablet and ErgData

Cool thanks for confirming that probably the same, I have asked on Amazon if 6th Gen has USB host. Being able to get a tablet for £50 (sometimes £35) and a £5 cable makes my decision on getting the iConnect cable at £40 (inc UK delivery) plus lightning adaptor £10ish, or $57.99 (inc UK delivery) for...

On The Water Concept2 App - Part of ErgData, possibly?

There are now loads of phone and tablet apps that can act as GPS stroke coaches. New ones popping up all the time. Could the on the water functions apps already offer get added to the ErgData App, so that everything is then in one app. This would promote Concept2's rowing machines and blades at the ...

Re: Amazon Fire Tablet and ErgData

Beware the £50 Android Tablets from Curry's may not support USB host and so may not be compatible with PM3/4's

Very interesting that the Amazon Fire can run the app, can anyone confirm that the 6th Gen fire works with PM3/4's with a USB host cable?

Re: Apple Lighting Cable Available for Concept2 PM

Brilliant News, I shall purchase towards the end of the summer ready for winter training.

Will British Rowing be selling them on their website? They popped up for a short time a while back but disappeared.

Re: Apple Lighting Cable Available for Concept2 PM

Just would like to double check, does the cable work with older PM3's?

I know the first version of the C2 iConnect Cable has an issue so just want to be sure that the LiveRowing Connect Cable is good with all PM's?

Many thanks

Re: rowing around the world application?

Have a word with the guy from @C2_2_Strava

A few tweaks and he might be able to map your rows across oceans, and then link them all together.

Re: Android Device Compatiblity

As an alternative could you use a cable with power input? e.g. https://www.amazon.co.uk/KIMILAR-Micro-Cable-Samsung-Galaxy/dp/B00V9XS4V4/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1488973741&sr=8-1&keywords=usb+otg+with+power (I use one successfully to power an hard disk while access the data from my phone) A USB Host...

Android Device Compatiblity

So Android devices must support USB host / USB OTG to connect to the PM monitor via a USB OTG cable. What this means is that the USB port in the Android device must be able to send 5V of current to make a connection to the C2 PM3/4. Some devices have this disabled due to the manufacturers being worr...

Polar H7 issues with iPhone 7 / iOS 10

I have never paired my Polar H7 HR strap to anyone else's phone. So on the last few outings it has been very strange that my rowing partners phone has picked up my HR data via Bluetooth connection. Looking at it further today my H7 was connected to his iPhone7, it was also connected to his own H7 (i...

Re: Indoor Rowing and Strava

i used the garmin (open beta) as part of the testing group here. it links upto garmin automatically and hence the strava website too. sort of kills two birds with one stone :) That connect IQ app does look really good, great someone has gone out and developed it when it should really be C2 looking ...
