Re: Failed Login: Invalid Username or Password message
Hi, The following advice from the Concept2 Technical Support worked to fix the problem: If you recently updated the Utility software then you probably need to click on the Logout link and then log back in and verify your ranking ID since you just updated the software. There is spot on the top screen...

Failed Login: Invalid Username or Password message
Hi, I just started getting the message "Failed Login: Invalid Username or Password - Username InlineJinn" when I try to upload a workout from a USB stick to the Online Logbook. I reported this using the Feedback link, but haven't heard anything from Concept2 support. This is a new error message that...

Re: C2 Utility crashes when trying Transfer to Spreadsheet
Turns out it's doesn't happen all the time, like all the best bugs  Rowed a half-marathon today, uploaded to the C2 logbook, then successfully transferred from the USB stick to an Excel Spreadsheet using the C2 Utility (twice). I hadn't changed anything else. I did download the previous versio...

Re: C2 Utility crashes when trying Transfer to Spreadsheet
Open the C2 Utility and click the "FEEDBACK" link on the home page. That gets sent directly to the folks who can fix this. Done, but when I click Send there is no acknowledgement that it actually sent. A message telling me that my feedback has been sent to C2 would be reassuring. :? Thanks, John B.

C2 Utility crashes when trying Transfer to Spreadsheet
Hi, I'm running a C2 D rowing machine with the PM5 Monitor, running what I believe (and the C2 Utility says) is the latest PM5 firmware. C2 Utility version 7.05.3 I can store workouts on the USB drive, and upload them from the USB drive to the online Concept2 Logbook. However, when I click "Transfer...

Re: USB drive just quit working-PM5 flashes yellow
Hi Citroen, Checkdisk reported the USB drive was OK. Reformatted the USB drive, and the restored the Logbook backup using the C2 Utility, but the PM5 didn't recognize it. I finally deleted all the files off the USB drive, after which the PM5 recognized it and I could transfer my new workouts -> USB ...

USB drive just quit working-PM5 flashes yellow
My PM5 just quit working with the USB drive that it's been working with for months. I discovered this when I lost a row that should have been recorded to the USB drive, but simply disappeared (not in USB or PM5 memory). I haven't upgraded the PM5 firmware or Concept 2 Utility recently. * PM5 Battery...

Re: Does general back pain go away in time when erging more?
I often have a stiff or sore back after rowing, particularly the next morning, and I'm well into my second year of rowing. Two things that always help: stretching (legs as well as back), and heat. I now start most morning with my back against a heating pad while I'm having my tea, followed by some l...

Re: Knee Pain/Technique
I'm almost 56, with a touch of chondromalacia and OA in my knees. I've had mild knee pain with popping for years, and have discovered three things that help me. The first is applying cold to my sore knee after any workout (rowing or otherwise). I keep several flexible blue gel packs in the freezer, ...

Re: Any new models being released soon?
My Model D which I purchased in late 2003 works well, is extremely dependable, and is quiet... If you care to wait for a Model F sometime in the future, that's entirely up to you. But I doubt if any new model can be much better than the present Models D and E and the almost 12 year old version of t...

Re: PM5 questions
Date: Main Menu > More Options > Utilities The only way to keep the screen from clearing is to press one of the buttons on the PM5 before the screen clears. I use a one minute timer to remind me to press one of the buttons (usually one of the change display buttons along the right side of the PM5) t...

Re: Keeping the seat rollers clean
I just tried the Windex followed by baby oil treatment, and they did a better job of cleaning the slide and rollers than soap and water ever did. I was surprised at how much more black stuff came off the slide and rollers while I was applying the baby oil and wiping the excess off. Thanks for the su...

Re: No resistance just after Catch.
The effect of the one way bearing in the flywheel is that the sprocket with the chain on it doesn't begin to drive the flywheel until the rpm of the sprocket exceeds that of the flywheel. Oh, so that's how it works. I have been wondering. I've been going onto my toes before the catch so that I'm no...

Rowing and inline skating
Hi, In years past, I've done a lot of inline skating (1000+ miles/year). We're blessed with some really good trails in our area. This year, we got a C2/PM5 for Christmas. The combination of the C2 and lousy winter and early spring weather resulted in getting out to skate only a couple times each mon...
