She said she was feeling pretty sick before we did it, but she managed a 7:56. Not bad considering she's erged like 5 or 6 times in her life. She's starting rowing now, who knows how good she can get by the time she heads off to college.

OK, so the varsity rowing program at our school was disbanded and turned into a club program this past year because of Title IX and our enormous football budget (for a sucky team), and I've been thinking about transferring after this full upcoming season (the academic thing isn't going too well eith...

So towards the end of the year of school, our coach punished the team because somebody prank called both him and the assistant coach. He made us do 3x2k at 100% pressure, and expected times at or near personal bests. We only had 4 working ergs at the time (4 had gone down in the previous two weeks),...

OK, that sounds about right. My PB right now is a 6:21, but then again, I haven't erged done any cardio seriously for about a month and a half. In a few more weeks, I'm sure I should be able to get my time down to about my PB, or perhaps lower. We shall see.

So I did an 8x500 workout with about 3 minutes of rest in between the 500s (I needed a bathroom break after one of them, so my rest time increased there...), the second serious erg workout I've attempted since starting to transition from purely strength training over the past two months or so, and w...
