Re: Pete Plan Group - Startup Aug 20th thru 22nd
Hey guys, I know it's been a little while since I logged in. I'm still plugging away though, completed week 11 day 2 8x500 with a new record. Finally broke 2:00 for one of my 500m splits. Gave me some type of realization of how hard it's going to be to do a 8 minute 2k. I'm still looking forward to ...

Re: Pete Plan Group - Startup Aug 20th thru 22nd
Hey guys, whats up? I have been reading a lot of forum and techinque lately. Also watched some videos that I think helped. Over the past week I realized that I have been doing it wrong. I was kind of starting the catch leaning back a bit, not all the way but not forward enough. I realize now that I ...

Re: Pete Plan Group - Startup Aug 20th thru 22nd
Sorry to be clogging the thread. Hopefully someone else will benefit. H - so if clearing Lactate is the issue, which seems right given how different this session feels, it would stand to reason that I may need to start further back to the point where it isn't as much of an issue. I have felt OK the...

Re: Pete Plan Group - Startup Aug 20th thru 22nd
Hey guys, this is the first time in my life I believe that I have pushed myself this hard for a relatively long time to try to get into shape. I realize I'm not there yet but with your help I believe I'm getting there. I was a bit bummed out for a few days, and that's when I asked if it would ever g...

Re: Pete Plan Group - Startup Aug 20th thru 22nd
Tim I'm following the way the BPP says to do the sessions. I normally do seven sessions in two weeks based on my wrk load. I was actually curious if the in between days make the hard days any easier.

Re: Pete Plan Group - Startup Aug 20th thru 22nd
Reading some of the comments relates to what I have been thinking. Does it ever get easier? I have been rowing since May and here lately it seems like every row is just tough. I don't do easy days in between, maybe I should? I'm not trying to complain because I know I'm in better shape. It's just to...

C2 40' for 40yrs. Challenge Overall, a low AT average pace at low AT HR average. Unremarkable except I don't often see HR above 166 bpm on any workout (MAX by observation is 172 bpm). Wasn't gasping for breath; pulmonary load felt OK. Odd. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v436/jrabbit/image.jpg1_z...

Re: Pete Plan Group - Startup Aug 20th thru 22nd
Hey guys, I really need to check in more often, seems like I'm always busy as heck. I'm sure most of us here are so that is not really an excuse. I'm going to try to do better. Finished my 8 week yesterday with the 40 minutes for concept 2. I ended up doing right around 39000 for the week and I plan...

Re: Pete Plan Group - Startup Aug 20th thru 22nd
@john_n thanks for the help with the indoor rower finder. Also my conscientious won't be bothering me since my row yesterday at 8500m took right at 40 minutes. Guys yesterday's row nearly killed me (ok really it didn't but it felt like it was). This is the closest that I have came to the dreaded HD....

Re: Pete Plan Group - Startup Aug 20th thru 22nd
A more serious question for some of you who travel a good bit. How do you locate c2 machines when you go places? Do you call crossfit places and ask them to rent a machine or is there a better option? Thanks.

Re: Pete Plan Group - Startup Aug 20th thru 22nd
@ Lindsay - look like some strong times for the 6x750 there. What's your race this week - and are you tapering at all for it (even a day or 2) or just counting it as next weeks sprint interval session? What's your target pace (and I assume from your post Terry is racing also)? Good luck to both of ...

Re: Pete Plan Group - Startup Aug 20th thru 22nd
Hey guys what's up. Finished my week 7 last week and then went out of town Friday night. I thought I would have cell service but I ended up not getting any signal. Week 7 day 2 - 7x500 averaged about 2:07 did this last Thursday. Week 7 day 3 - 8000m averaged about 2:22.5. Did this Friday before leav...

Re: Pete Plan Group - Startup Aug 20th thru 22nd
Gordon, I took a week off awhile back. Not completely off but no hard work during the week. I came back and felt stronger than ever. I'm by no means a pro though. Just trying to help.
