Ok so i know this is a concept 2 forum, and its highly probable that noone on it would even consider purchasing a rowperfect ergo, but we just got a few at our school and they are definately making easily visible changes to on water technique, and concept II 2k scores over a period of a few months. ...

Yeah when i'm going for a 100m piece it's mainly as a fun thing to do with mates before or after a water session on the ergos at the boat shed. You'll find you can do a fair few of them in moderate succession seeing as how its only using your ATP reserves, and they regenerate very quickly. I like th...

Yeah there's some fantastic places to row down here.. I havn't had much experience rowing outside of Victoria, but i have been down to Penrith lakes in NSW for the nationals last year. I generally row on the Yarra in Melbourne for training, and most regattas are at either Carrum or Nagambie. My favo...

Awesome!

I have actually had very little experience in the single scull.. I've raced once in my life in a pair, and have done a few races in a coxed four.

My main passion is the eight, currently with rowing season in full swing i'm at a regatta every weekend! its ace. I row in ...

thats absurd, you want a heavily muscled group of young men who are also tall. How do you expect the power to be applied if there is no strength in the quads, lats and triceps.. Another point is that 16/17 is the perfect age to be focusing on muscle gain, not neccessarily to a body builder's extent,...

Just curious as to how many of you actually row on the water. I'm aware its an indoor rowing forum, but i'm sure there are some of you out there.

If you do, what form of boat do you row in? single scull? pair? four? eight? And do any of you compete in any regattas in Melbourne, Australia?...

what our weight trainer at my school generally tells us is, if we want to gain muscle, to work very hard and just eat a truckload of good foods. High protein, lots of carbs... etc. Pretty much just eat a lot and make sure you aren't taking shortcuts in your training schedule.

Personally i...

mmm ok, didn't mean to offend anyone. i thought that indoor rowing forums tended to incorporate real rowing too, but that said, i won't make that mistake again. I still spend enough hours on concepts to know what its all about, so perhaps i can still fit in here heh. By posers i meant people who hav...

Yep g'day, thought i'd jump on the bandwagon of this excellent looking forum, seeing as how its hard to find a good one with actual rowers who tend to push themselves instead of posers who i see at my local gym on the concepts, who have quite clearly never been in a boat in their life.

J...
