Re: HRM For Erg PM5
When the H7 is paired to the iPhone 5, it cannot pair to ythe PM5 and vice versa. That's a Bluetooth limitation. A client (iPhone 5, PM5) can connect to multiple servers (H7) but a server can only connect to a single client. Thanks for the information! I had a feeling this was the case but not an i...

Re: Damper setting
Good point! I'm still in the "technique" stage now trying my best to establish a solid foundation.

Re: HRM For Erg PM5
The only "issue" I have is that I simply cannot figure out if the H7 will pair with both the PM5 AND the iPhone 5. When the H7 is paired to the iPhone 5, it cannot pair to ythe PM5 and vice versa. I do not think that it's possible but Polar and C2 says it is. Any suggestions? This would be the only ...

Re: HRM For Erg PM5
I chose a Polar H7 and it works well so far with the PM5. I am used to Polar products, especially the chest strap ones.

Re: Advice on my technique and training, again
Greg,
I learned a ton from your post. I wasn't certain how to incorporate the "force curve" and you explained it brilliantly!
Thanks!

Re: Damper setting
Thanks Bob! You clarified this a bunch! I was assuming that the DF should be the same at a corresponding damper setting. In actuality, from the examples you cited, if I were rowing at 7500' the damper setting for a specific drag factor would be X. If we were to row at sea level, to obtain the same d...

Re: Damper setting
Dragfactor is a matter of air resistance, at higher altitude you need more airflow to get the same amount of air, so the fan should be higher (more open). Min and max drag at altitude are both lower due to this. So a question..... Should we have separate setting and data? When you stated .... "more...

Re: Damper setting
If the DF is the same, it should feel the same, whatever the altitude. The only difference is that damper settings will not be the same. Bob S. So the adjustment on the "damper setting" should equate to similar Drag Factors? While I am new to the C2 rower....my wife has to comment....but DFs at our...

Re: Damper setting
I apologize in advance..... My wife and I just got our C2 MD PM5 and after the setup and a few rows, we have a DF at 85....level three on the damper. Upon calling C2....it was stated the we should NOT worry about DF for the time being. We live at 7500' so the DF's are not comparable to "people at se...

Re: Do I need to oil my chain when it first arrives?
Excellent question.
I spoke with Mark at C2 this morning and he stated that it comes oiled from them so you simply need to follow the maintenance in the literature on the website or manual.
As was stated above you are good to go!

Re: More than one user? Keep our data separate?
I just got off the phone with Mark at C2.
He was extremely helpful!!!
He stated that just about any USB flash drive can be used with the PM5. I will be using one and my wife will be using another....problem solved!!!
Thanks for the quick responses!

More than one user? Keep our data separate?
Hi Everyone! Well my C2 Model D with PM5 arrived this afternoon! Both my wife and I will be using this and I was wondering if there is a way to have both of our data recorded but keep it separate. Essentially I would like my rowing data to be mine only. Hers would be hers only if that makes sense? T...
