Hey guy's
Just want to make sure I have not adversely effected my PM3 by rowing free for so long. If you could just give me your opinion.
500m-1:52-DF138-s/m40. Approximately 7m a stroke. Meters per stroke is the same no matter what the drag factor.
Thanks Jeff

Okay guy's it's time to eat crow. I would like to apoligize to anyone I have effended in my posts with my ignorance and My arrogance. Sometimes I'm not the quickest rower on the water. I now beleive you guy's are gods. So here's the thing, I was sitting down last night reading the manual trying to f...

I'm guessing that if all things being equal then, the only variable would be technique or timing of the stroke and catch if I understand you properly. I did check out the force curve early on but, I'm not entirely sure I understand. My curve at first was rather flat and elongated so i watched the tr...

Paul I agree, I don't know if that is possible without getting completely crazy. I rowed 12x 500's today and found with a physical count that the most I could get was 43s/m but, most of my rows were 40s/m. I found that when I try to go to fast that the stroke count is all over the place, the front o...

Paul Sorry I'm not a rowpro'r, I just mention the rowpro because my rower came with the trial software. As far as the 1K time I can't verify that at this time because the PM3 memory as far as I can find only goes back to the 11th of April but, I will try and do it again. The other times were still i...

Thanks Paul I'm going to try to get that done Sat. when I have more time. I'm very curious about why you won't rank your 2 1K's? The reason I'm asking is that I find it unbelievable that I'm putting up these times, which is why I keep asking the technique questions. I feel like either I'm doing some...

Okay, after further study I noticed that although there is more power generated from the knees out due to longer stroke it is harder to get in the catch position quickly over a sustained period of time. I think I'm going to stay with the knees just under the elbows as that allows me more oxygen inta...

Proper technique
Okay new guy here and I have a question. I realize that in a boat the small package is necessary. I'm talking about the knees together. I don't know if it's because I'm a big guy and still have a little bit of a belly but, I lose oxygen rowing like this and also have a shorter stroke. I have been ro...

Jim McGoldrick is another great athlete. I modeled alot of my technic after JD when I first started and was able to compete against him for about 5 years before he retired. JD was already in his 40's when we started competing together and still a great thrower. I had no idea he was rowing as I haven...

Paul , great web site. Some very cool products. I'm really curious about the slings and if they would help me. I've been experiencing pain in my left arch after rowing. I also was rowing in my socks and I believe that pulling my weight back to the rower is the culprit. I've since switched to a pair ...

Sorry about the confusion. Brian Oldfield is actually the most famous shotputter of all times who smashed the world record by 3' back in the 70's. You may remember the old world strongman comps. that they used to show on the Telly from the 80's. He competed against Franco Columbo, Lou Ferrigno and k...
