Anybody know of good rigging websites out there? I'm obsessing over the workthrough adjustments in my crew.

Mel and PaulS,

Thanks to both of you. Some great tips, especially "point inside elbow toward person behind you" and "no frothy puddle". Much appreciated.

I was also linked to a great video site to help with my girls' visualization. Check out <a href='http://www.invernessrowingc...

Any coaches or rowers out there know of good drills to correct the following problems?

1. Leaning away from rigger. One girl in my 4+ will be a great rower if I can just get her to stop leaning away! I've tried the outside-arm only drill but to no avail.

2. Skying/digging. My s...

Thanks J.D. I just plugged -6% into my spreadsheet and came out with slightly more accurate numbers. They pulled a 500m/1000m/1000m/500m workout yesterday using the -8 second target and came out pretty much bang-on with your -6% expectation. We'll see how Sunday's 2k pans out. I agree with the fly a...

Thanks Paul and Carole. Sounds like we're roughly in range. We've got 47 athletes pulling a 2k this Sunday so I'll have enough data to give future high-school expectations based on our standard 20-minute test.

Carole, our girls age from 14-17 yrs old and their scores range from a low of 3...

Doesn't this vary widely by age though? I would expect my high school girls would have a wider variance between their 20-minute test and 2k test than somebody in their 50's. Greater short-burst energy. These calculations don't seem to pan out.

Coaches, my high school girls just pulled some great 20-minute test scores yesterday. Wondering if I can chart an expected 2000m result from these splits. I'm expecting approx an 8-second improvement on their splits, but wondering if you know of a more accurate expectation. Thx.
