Been erging close to two years, about 40K a week. Recently found a small contusion a couple inches below the tail bone, sorry to get graphic here, but its inside the crack and to the right. I'm wondering if this is maybe an issue with my stroke, like am I leaning back too far, pulling to the right, ...

Just read that a strong ssshhhing sound is similar to blood rushing thru the arteries for a child in utero. No surprise then I suppose that babies love the sound of the erg.

I erged 9 months without slides, and have used them for the last 11 months. Without them I was conscious of my lower back but never injured it. With them I am not conscious of it at all. Since getting the slides I have rowed without them 2 or 3 times and each time became aware of my lower back again...

Hi,<br /><br />Had this same injury myself, for a while it really shut me down. Sneezing was awful, and the slightest movement could make me very unhappy. It also changed the way I row, relative to pace etc. I now focus on longer slower rows, first out of necessity, and eventually it became habit. O...
