Re: Heart Monitor Question
The great thing about the Wahoo Tickr, besides being able to get to the battery is that you can upload all your exercises to the Wahoo APP.

Re: Heart Monitor Question
I use a Wahoo tickr strap. On my PM5 bikeerg I can connect H.R. thru the erg data app. On my older rower that has a PM2 I use my iPhone and connect my HR thru Wahoo's free phone APP

Re: Suitability for Injury Recovery
If your fracture is healed and your Doc gives you permission I whole heartedly recomend the bike erg. The lowest resistance level is about the same as riding on level ground on a medium gear road bike. I bought mine when I was recovering from an injury and was not able to ride outdoors. A year later...

There has been a firmware update in the last couple of days. Have you updated your monitor?

Re: Considering a Bikeerg - Questions
I doubt he rides outdoors. If he did and wanted to replicate that aero tuck, i'm sure he would have purchased a smart trainer and used his road bike instead of the BikeErg.

Re: Considering a Bikeerg - Questions
I know it's probably too late, but why would you purchase aero bars for a stationary bike?

Re: Bikeerg- Replacing pedals
With proper pedaling form, you should be able to use flat pedals without any lose of power or sliding around.

Re: Bikeerg no good for HIIT
No reason your bike erg can't have the same float if you use the same type of pedals.

Re: Bikeerg no good for HIIT
40 year cyclist here who originally used toe clips, then went clipless when Look came out when riding on the road about 30 years ago. I have used both clipless and flats on my BikeErg and have decided that I don't need clipless. For spinning (100%) what I do on the erg being attached to the pedals i...

Specifically, the pedal bolts. You may want to take the pedels off and grease the spindles. If you do, remember the L/H pedal is reverse thread.

Re: Scalability of Bike Erg?
Just to throw my two cents in. I Had hip replacement in early 2015. I found riding either a stationary bike, was the best PT I could do (other than the prescribed stretching exercises my the therapist had me doing) I'm riding mostly outdoors now but use my bike erg at least three days a week.

Re: Best padded seat
One other suggestion. Check to see if you set the bars to high. If you are sitting too upright, that can cause pain.

Re: Best padded seat
It ain't the padding that makes your seat more comfortable, it is the fit. best advise is to get fitted at a bicycle shop for a saddle with the correct measurements of your sit bones. In the long run, the padded saddle you think is more comfortable really isn't. If they were, every cyclist on the ro...

Re: Bikeerg- Replacing pedals
Ordering a pair of $10 strapless toe clips on Amazon would be good. I use clipless pedals and my cycling shoes but am ready to ditch them. Too much trouble having to get ready to ride. The strapless clips allow you to place your feet consistently on the pedals in the same position. besides, the old ...
