I just recently realized that I have naturally been losing weight because of all my work on the erg even though I didn't want to. It helped me also realize that I am coming so close to the lightweight mark that I will most likely look to go lightweight for Crash-B's this feb. as a junior men's light...

Thanks for the links Dr.Z, I've sorta been researching all the info I can about the junior national team and its rowers. I've seen those sites before, but from looking at all the info over and over I think I have a decent possibility of atleast making it to the selection camp based on my erg scores ...

Thanks a lot. It says for the intervals part of the wolverine plan to keep my stroke rate constant but it doesnt say what it should be at. Should my stroke rate stay at the rate I do my 2k at? Should my fartlek workouts be at a considerably faster pace than my interval training? and if so should my ...

I am relatively new to erging and my goal is to improve my 2k time (currently 6:38 and have a goal of 6:25 by Crash-B's). I have been fooling around with different workouts but I feel now is the point to really figure out the best way of doing things. Ive heard that since its so early in the season ...

Well im not looking for a free trip to Boston or anything. As long as I can copete in the Crash-B's I'm fine. I also wanted to clear something up because what I meant was the junior national rowing team for the US. I am also an on water rower so what i meant was the junior national team on the water...

I'm from Long Island. I just turned 16 this month and I'm about 180 lbs. After only about 2 months of erging in my life I have already gotten a 6:38.8 on the 2k and I feel confident that I can already reach about a 6:35 or so physically right now. My goal for crash-B's is a 6:25 and I am certainly g...

I am new to erging but I am already receiving great times and had a big goal of doing well in the Crash-B's next year. Can I just sign up for the Crash-B's and row in it or do I have to somehow qualify for it by winning some other erg races that are Crash-B qualifiers?

During my past two attempts at chasing a new PR for the 2k I have found myself stopping midway through. Ill be doing real well and I feel that I can physically get the time I am aiming for but I just lose all motivation in the middle and just dont want to move on to the second half of the race. I th...

Reached the 15000m mark on only my second 60 minute erg ever. Very happy. I'm sure I can do a little better, but its a big mark I think.

-Josh

Erged for 60 minutes for the second day in a row (second time ever as well). I reached 15000m exactly, which is a big improvement from yesterday's 14636m. I also ran a mile (only because I can't drive yet and I had no ride home).

-Josh
