I did a lot of research into the remarkable Lyle Parker a few years ago, when 6:37.7 was listed, erroneously as it turned out, as the 60-69 ltwt record. <br /><br />As I recall Lyle rowed the 6:37.7 in a race in Australia. The people at Sykes probably have the records of the event in some old filing...
