very even the whole way.

today should row something shorter.

yesterday did 500 m x 4, 2' rest in between

hopefully will go for a 6 km piece today

did a 2000 m yesterday
my most recent 10 km was done at 1:51 average split
based on the 10 km piece pace i decided to aim for 1:42 pace on 2 km

i got it:
1:42.0 @ 25 spm (6'48")

i did have to pull 1:40 in the last 500m to get it

2 km at 1:42 felt a lot harder than 10 km at 1:51

Thanks for your help Badocter. I tried the 2.5K today after my 10K and did not quite make it. I think I was trying to hard. I ended up only getting 1.5k in 3:56. did 5 km at 1:43.0, 24 spm, 17'10". the goal of 1:42.0 (17'00") by teh end of this month is very unlikely, but i might give it another go. Really? Don't think you can knock 10 seconds off the time, by increasing the spm to 28-30? No way I could get within 10 seconds of a PR at 24 spm. the question ...
