Thomas - Thanks for setting this up. I'm very pleased with my new 1k PB as a result. There is more to come at this distance for me when the timing is right. Life seems to get in the way of erging, which was certainly the case for me during this series. The ability to blast a 1k each week didn't seem...

I'm just starting to get back to form after my cold/allergies. I'll try to get caught up, but it might be during one of my lunch sessions at the gym. I assume a picture of the monitor will be sufficient.

This series was intended to be hard but not impossible. I hope no one feels discouraged. I'm not discouraged, but disappointed that I'm not 100% to have another go at my latest PB. I managed to drop over 5 seconds off my PB doing this series so many thanks for setting it up. I hope to be back to fu...

I'm with Chad, no time for me yet either. My body doesn't feel sprint ready with my cold. Best to wait it out and give it a go.

Nicely done.

I'm battling a wicked cold, so I'll be curious to see how my body responds to about 3 minutes of stress.

A new PB for me by over 5 seconds (but the previous was soft). I think there is a little more to come. I pulled back a bit after a 1:31.5 first 500m. Splits were . . . Dist - Time - Pace - SPM - AvgHR - SPI 200 - 00:36.3 - 01:30.8 - 36 - 144 - 12.9 400 - 00:36.5 - 01:31.3 - 35 - 173 - 13.3 600 - 00:...

I think I might be able to get under 3:20 with a single all out effort.. I will give it a try this weekend :-) -chad Chad, anyone? Are we racing this weekend? I am essentially free, but Sat is probably better than Sun. My preference is some time between 14-19 GMT. The best time for me is 1800-1900G...

How do people pace a 1k? Do we think it makes sense to go out as fast as possible and try to hold on? Steady pacing? I find that the 1k pace is so fast to begin with that I don't have much or anything left for a final sprint. Very good question. I've never done an all out 1k so I have no idea. My P...

You can put that 3:19.7 as a placeholder. I also did a 3:18.4 after removing the 10 second head start I gave Chad & Marc. I guess that one won't be official.

I hope to squeeze a <3:15 in on Sunday???

MichaelB mentioned your event. I did 5x1k last Thursday. Based on the rules I've read, I can use one of those times for week 1 and another for week 2. The results can be found www dot digitalrowing.com/default.aspx?itemid=285&id=33993 - Interval#1 - (3:29.8) www dot digitalrowing.com/default.aspx?it...
