Re: Another one on the weight loss train (or boat?)

I'm a former elite-ish rower, turned coach, turned overweight guy so the times in my signature reflect the former me. Is there any chance you guys row during your work day....like at lunch? I work anywhere from 10-16 hours a day which leaves basically zero time for exercising. Four weeks ago I broug...

Re: Thinking of ordering RowPro

Started the 20 day trial today. Signed up for an online 12k session to begin at 00:30 Jan 18 and absolutely nothing happened. It is not clear what I am supposed to do. There was no indication on my computer screen or monitor that a workout was to begin. At 00:35 the session was removed from the Oarb...

Re: Thinking of ordering RowPro

Ok, interesting. So if I order this thing what comes with it? Software and hardware? Or do I need to come up with my own connection cables? Can I connect my computer to my TV screen so I see a larger picture?

Thinking of ordering RowPro

Maybe some of the RowPro users can help me out. I am mostly interested in rowing with people online but I'm all about rows lasting longer in duration instead of doing 2k's and stuff. I like to row intervals such as 3 x 20' with 4' rest in between pieces. Can rows like that be done with other people?...

Re: Am I a fit fat person?

Not so fat anymore Jamie, Reading about your successes is inspirational. I was a very competitve rower just a few years ago who fell off the deep end and put on about 100 pounds! I am finished feeling sorry for myself and set a goal..to row in the Head of the Charles this October in the Alumni Eight...

It's all about having endurance so long steady state rows are ideal. While training focus on keeping the body relaxed. Try not to use up more energy than what's required.

You might also benefit from rowing with your feet in the holder but unstrapped. What this will do is work your core. The key is to keep pressure on the balls of your feet at the finish and will keep you honest as far as not over exaggerating your body swing. Another analogy for body swing is this: W...

I'm no doctor and I don't know the severity of the damage to your kneecap but upper body rowing is simple. You can strap your feet in and keep your legs slightly bent...to avoid hyperextension. When you begin to row with the upper body make sure you swing from the hips. Sit up tall (like a doberman ...

The person could have made a typing error while submitting the score. You can also email C2 to alert them of the error and they'll probably remove the time from ranking. I've seen it done before.
