Re: My Dad's 1 min WR!
Not to be negative but the only problem I have is that it looks great on paper but its not rowing. 55spm ? thats going to look absolutely horrendous. I was pulling 1:20 pace for 1 minute at 34spm, sure its no WR but it was a proper full stroke. Wow, so since YOU cant do it then it must not be rowin...

Re: Sprints and Stuff- training/questions 1k and below
http://www.freespiritsrowing.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=1097&p=31417 Ross, this is a thread where it is suggested Rob hit a 13.2 - not sure if it was ever confirmed, also I think Dirk Moller may have done a 13.3 as well What I still can't understand is how the mystery guy can get through that 100m t...

Re: Sprints and Stuff- training/questions 1k and below
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=z18r2CY27yw He's got a few other videos and I'm impressed with his ability to hit 1:30 on first stroke and that he only takes 12 strokes to complete the 100m No clue who this person is other than I think he's Australian - but 13.3 100m row, only know that Ross Love has...

Re: Sprints and Stuff- training/questions 1k and below
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=58p6_OpCcRs This was former world strongest man champ Marius Pudzianowski in a 500m comp against a supposed Olympic silver medalist (I believe winning time was 1:18) People have no idea what it takes to pull a 1:11.9, lol much less a 1:10.5. Muscles wont get you there,...

Re: Sprints and Stuff- training/questions 1k and below
I have had 2, 800+ lb deadlifters in my gym to try to beat my 100m WR... they were also men over 6'2" tall so large athletes on top of that. They came nowhere close, low pulls of 1:07/1:08 so while I think there are some Strongmen competitors that COULD do it if trained... I dont think anyone just ...

Re: Sprints and Stuff- training/questions 1k and below
powerrower, I saw your instagram post and just laughed. That's crazy fast, but I understand your comment about torque on the lower back. The force you're generating must be brutal on the joints. I was much stronger in my younger days but found that my joints didn't have the capacity to support it. ...
