Re: Thoughts on new Mac Preview version of RowPro?
I tried it for the first time yesterday. I have the latest software on my PM5, and it works as it is supposed to work. I am using a late 2011 MacBook Pro with 4GB ram; connected the MacBook Pro with a USB cable (can RowPro connect wirelessly, by the way?) RowPro worked the first time I used it- I se...

Re: Ergdata
I have a question about the ErgData logbook sync. I have ErgData on both my iPhone and iPad, and it appears that the logbook sync is one-way, i.e., whichever device I have connected, the iPad or the iPhone, will "sync" (i.e., upload) a workout to the online logbook, but the app does not either (a) d...

Re: PM5 is here ...
I used my MacBook Pro and a USB stick. I checked the box to allow beta software to be downloaded. Then, on the updates screen I checked the box to "download all" of the updates- which probably put a bunch of stuff on my stick I don't need. I don't think I could tell that I had V16 on the stick, but ...

Re: PM5 is here ...
I've had my model D for a bit over a month and just got an iPhone 6 so I figured I'd try the ergdata app. After digging through everything I found that's needed V16, pm5 came with v15. Couldn't get the USB flash drive to prompt for a firmware update. I upgraded the c2 utility on my computer, mad su...

Re: PM5 is here ...
I understand from discussions I had with Concept 2 a couple of months back that a new cradle is in the works. What the design will be, or what phones (or tablets) it will fit, I don't know, but I gathered it will not require you to pay for the cable that you don't need if you have a newer phone or B...

Re: PM5 is here ...
I upgraded my PM2 on my model C to a PM5. When you pull the handle, the PM and the backlight goes on.jag wrote:I asked but didn't get a reply. Has anyone upgraded to a PM5 on a Model A, B, or C (that don't have generators)? Does the backlight work on these machines that have no generator?

Re: PM5 is here ...
Well, I just got my PM5 and plan to install it this evening, but I did run across this on the Concept2 website: "PM5—firmware version 16 or later is required for all functions including Bluetooth Smart wireless." Here's the webpage I found it on: http://www.concept2.com/service/monitors/pm5/firmware...

$180, I was told.
Unless you want fries and a drink with it. Then it's more.

Re: PM5 is here ...
Ordered my PM5 last week (to replace my vintage 1996- not even a PM2+) on my Model C. The folks at Concept 2 told me they probably won't be shipping the retrofits until at least October, and maybe mid-to-late October at that, but I wanted to stake out my place in line early. I also gather there may ...

Re: Performance Monitor update-refresh?
http://www.concept2.com/indoor-rowers/performance-monitors The PM5 is announced today. It has all the features of a PM4 (except for a couple that are removed) 1. Backlight 2. USB memory stick replaces the logcard 3. Wireless HR no more support for the Polar dongle 4. BTLE (so no more wires for Andr...

Re: oh what to buy
You may not have long to wait for a machine with PM5, backlit screen, data storage to USB stick and . . . ? From what I gather talking to C2 sales, this is more than a faint promise of vapor ware. Jack I would greatly appreciate hearing some details about what new stuff might be coming, and when......

Performance Monitor update-refresh?
I've got an older Concept 2; I think I got it in 1996. Still going strong. I've got a PM 2 on it- not even a PM2+. I am thinking about an upgrade to a PM4, but I'm wondering if there are any plans in the works to update the hardware or software anytime in the future. It seems like the hardware has s...
