Total membership

This is a goofy question but I often wonder what the total indoor rowing population is. One must average 1500 meters per day to make the rankings but I'm sure there are many more zealots who fall below that number which is currently about 6900. Is there a source somewhere for that data? poppi Proud ...

Rower seat pad

HI Ergomaniacs I have a seat pad (Part # 1409) which this very week is celebrating it's 10th birthday so is getting very worn out so I am about to buy a replacement. My question - is it advisable to put the replacement on top of the original or should I remove and replace? Thank you John Hendrie Pro...

Re: Can anyone suggest any books on rowing/erging?

I knpow the Boys in the Boat has been suggested several times but personally I learned an awful lot from reading it about the science of team rowing, for example the ideal physical requirements for each position in the boat from coxswain through stroke to bow.

Row Pro for Mac

I see that Row Pro is finally available for Mac BUT I think I saw that the Mac O/S must be 10.10. I assume this rules it out for my 10.6.8???

Thank you

Editing profile

I have forgotten how to edit my profile. I can still change my photograph but don't remember how to change the description which is displayed when one clicks me on a team page.

Language question

Somehow the headings on my log page, team standings, etc have switched to Italian. Half my family are married to Italians and they are lovable people but I never did master the language. Anyone know how to revert to English?

thank you

Re: Suunto t3c HRM

Your probably better off getting a Polar receiver to plug into the PM3 and get a Polar HR strap, then everything in the results in the monitor ties together and you get an average HR for the row and HR at the end of the splits which is pretty much all the average person needs to track your performa...

Suunto t3c HRM

I won a Suunto t3c in a drawing a few years back and have never figured out how to use it effectively. The User Guide is almost unintelligible. If anyone out there has mastered this device I would love to pick your brain. I have a PM3 monitor so my training data will come exclusively from the wrist ...

Re: Erratic PM3 - mystery solved

PM3 on model Cs can get the odd erratic reading for one stroke then it goes back to running normally - I see it occasionally on one of the six model Cs in my gym. It's a bug in the firmware. I've never been able to come up with a way to recreate it at will so I've been unable to discuss it with Sco...

Re: Erratic PM3

More info in response to the post by Carl Watts. I checked the PM3 and it is configured for Model B/C. Also, my unit has a date code 1512006 (January 2006?) well after the 2003 2004 problem dates mentioned in your post. This is a wild guess but I just started using a Suunto HRM. Is it remotely possi...

Re: Erratic PM3

How old is it? It was delivered in November 2007 as a replacement for a defective PM3. What model of rower is it on? It is on a Model C What level of PM3 firmware? When received it was at v97 but I think it has been upgraded. How do I determine the current level? Checked it out and it is v 105 Than...

Re: Erratic PM3

Sounds like it has jumped from model D/E to model C in the settings. Check in the product ID that it is set for the right Erg. I doubt that because the avg/500 meters is all over the place but I will check that it is set properly. How do I do that? The older 2003 2004 models can suffer from PCB cor...
