Re: Low Max Heart rate?

I am 66, my resting HR is around 33, my max HR is around 168 but sometimes during training sessions spikes up to 180 and has hit 207 a couple of weeks back. If you take your RHR from MHR that will give you your reserve training zone which you can apply the Karvonen Formula to work out your training...

Re: Tall rider (6'4)

I have both. Had a C2 rower, various models since 2001. Now have Model D and BikeErg. I am 182cmH. My seat height is higher than the bars and is comfortable for me. On long rides I have a towel on bars for cushioning on hands, on intervals or faster rides I use the drop section of bars. Also fitted ...

Re: Not Verified BikeErg Workout.

I can get the verification code as my times don’t automatically get verified through Erg data, but when I try and input it manually though my online logbook, it refuses to register the code stating that date/time etc don’t match up Consequently my Timesheet/Distances are I put as not verified. I tak...

Re: And finally....

Thanks, will pass that on to Jordan. We knew he was in good shape but hadn’t trained specifically for these efforts. Hasn’t done intervals since before Christmas, purely endurance in rower, Wattbike and more recently using skierg. He also does circuits/weights most days. An easy week to allow body a...

Re: Sore wrists

As mentioned by another poster, try the straps used on Nordic Walking poles
I put a pair of these on my SkiErg when I had one about 6 years ago.
Made by a firm called LEKI
Well worth a try

Re: Change of Saddle

Before you change the saddle, two things, check how to measure your butt for getting the right size/type saddle. Google it, has to do with sitting on padded ki tchen roll paper and then measure instance between sit bones. Then buy a top end pair of cycling shorts with good gel pad inserts. Both sadd...

Re: British Record 30-39LWT Men 6000m

Henry, He won’t go on the water, like me, an individual and means tying in with pre-determined times for training. He has the equipment at home and trains at times when it suits his lifestyle. He erged a few years ago when he was a student, 6:28.7 as 18yo LWT(4th British Students Indoor Champs aroun...

Re: British Record 30-39LWT Men 6000m

No hurry Henry, he just wants to do it this week before end of the season.
Then he’ll get back on the interval training and do them all again next year.
First time he has gone for them seriously, but he has had a good year of training
