The edge is quite smooth so its not the sharpness of the edge. No it's a Model C, i usually use the foot rest on setting No 4 (third hole down) , i have just tried a higher setting and that appears to let me extend my leg without touching the rail. dont know why i didnt try that earlier. just always kept the foot plate in the same position. <br /><br />John<br ...

When i row i sometimes get a red mark or even cut on my calf inside leg where it touches the monorail on the finish of the stroke. Anybody else get this and any suggestions on how to avoid this?

I have recently noticed feeling tight in the chest under the bottom rib whilst rowing, similar feeling to a stitch. what is the advise on avoiding this? should i stop the rowing for the session as soon as i feel it, should i slow down or should i try to breathe deeper ? <br /><br />John

Have now been to see the physio therapist and it appears that i had damaged the meniscus on the right hand side, i have now been following a exercise plan which develops the muscles on the left hand side to support the knee whilst it repairs. don't apologise , i didn't specify my lack of 2 legs in my original post, was a tounge in cheek reply hence the smiley..<br />have taken it easy and i have not needed any pain killers today, managed to row 5k tonight, but made sure my split was always above 2.15. felt really good afterwards like i h...
