Thanks for your advice. With the help of a fellow engineer I completed all of the upgrades with the exception of replacing the chain in about and hour today. I am very pleased with result. With two engineers working on it, it is amazing that we were able to accomplish anything.

HELP Model C Axle Replacement
Help requested. I need to replace the axle in my model C as part of a complete overhaul. The erg has been used by me in my home since new. The service manuals available online from C2 do not contain any information on replacing the axle. This information is available for models D and E. Is process s...

Thanks to all on Timbuk2. It was a great challenge. I came to the team because I thought that my regular team's daily goal was more than I could commit to. I told Pat that my goal was between 7 and 10K per day. Pat welcomed me to the team and I am glad that he did. Thanks Pat! Thanks to the team's s...

The end is in sight. Take care of yourselves. You all have been an inspiration especially on days that I do not feel like getting on the old Model C. This experience has reinforced what I learned many years ago playing rugby - it is the team that matters. When you slow down others pick up the pace, ...

My Goals
All, Thanks for the encouragement over the past few weeks. You all have been great. Due to a head cold and work - meters have dropped the last couple of days but I will make a better effort this weekend. My goal for the challenge was 300K, but thanks to all of you I will exceed that. There are far t...

Brian, Keep it up. My sister died from breast cancer at 42, and left a husband and three children. Her daughter was diagnoised with bc at 23 years of age, but now a 5 year survivor. My wife's mother and sister have both been victims of bc also. My wife, an RN, because of family history is a particip...

Pat, Thanks for the kind words of encouragement. I will not be able to keep putting up the meters as I did yesterday, but I felt that I owed it to the team to make up some of the ground I had lost. You all are a great group, and rowing for each other speaks volumes for the spirit of rowing and Timbu...

I will be out of town visiting son and granddaughter for a few days so will not be contributing to total distance. Hope to get 5k in before heading to the airport early tomorrow morning. This has already been a good challenge for me, and I will be back in the boat on the 15th or 16th. You are a grea...

Pat, I am not sure how I was moved to the Ancient Boat. I did not ask to be moved. Did not know this happened until I saw your post and then checked the Teams page. I will move back if that is possible, but do not wish to offend anyone in the Mariners if that was how I changed boats. I was and conti...

Welcome
Pat I am Bob Storck I started indoor rowing on a Model A in the mid-80's. Now own a C but am thinking of purchasing an E because it is getting harder every year to get back up off of the erg. I have found it to be an excellent piece of fitness equipment and a good compliment to biking and weight tra...
