Re: TimbukTOO Team Room

Hi Doug!! Nice that you joined us and that rowing has been so rewarding. It is a great way to get in shape. When I began my rowing..it was back when rowers were not a popular piece of equipment in gyms.I rowed on one that never got used and incorporated rowing into my female clients training plans.Oh ...

Re: TimbukTOO Team Room

A little TimbukTOO history. We were organized in February 2008. Out of the need for a seasonal team following the virtual challenge .We had a variety of rowers..young and seasoned ..young and new..and some elders..me included. I began rowing back in the mid 90's and have logged well over 22 million m...

Re: TimbukTOO Team Room

I just wanted to say hello and welcome all to team TimbukTOO.It has been a very quiet start to the season..I have not been an active part of this team for some time.I originated this team quite a few years ago and acted as captain.I have seen rowers come and go.I do not recognize many of the team.Ma...

Re: TimbukTOO Team Room

My goal is to just add meters and finish the challenge! B)
I am not sure what my daily meters will be.
Nascar Chase is on as of yesterday..I have races to attend, road trips etc.
So I will row as I can and add as I can..and meet my goal of rowing when I can!!

Re: TimbukTOO Team Room

As a long time rower I need to add a comment as to the effectiveness and benefits of the New Grip Rowing gloves..or I should say grips, not really a glove. I suffered wrist issues and did not want to deal with long term care or surgery.I found these rowing grips and they solved all of my rowing issu...

Re: TimbukTOO Team Room

I have a wonderful padded seat I got after using various ones..one came from Concept2 but was way too thin. I don't remember where I got mine but if you google" padded seats for an indoor rower" you will be amazed at what you will find for you! Great investment. Several years ago before I belonged t...

Re: TimbukTOO Team Room

As a personal trainer..I would suggest working on any type of marathon..half or full..one needs to work on endurance adding time and meters every day..with days of rest.It is just like training for a running event.Keeping hydrated and eating well..stretching and staying limber.. No rush to do this.....

Re: TimbukTOO Team Room

I just joined this team and entered into the fall challenge. I got my C2 rower this week, and have been acclimating myself to it. I did row at my local gym and enjoyed it much more than the other equipment, so decided to purchase one for my home. Anyway, looking forward to the challenge and being p...
