nosmo, i am not worthy. your post is right on the money, i actually never planned on doing the race, but for some reason pulled into the parking lot. i did get a fairly decent warmup - did a couple sets of 2k at 2:00 then did a 500 at 1:32 or so. i'm an experienced racer, have done probably over 200...

well, what i learned today: don't ask the concept2 forum if you should race or not.... again, like last year, i had that thing won at 1000 meters. then died a thousand deaths and crawled in at 6:48 for 4th. layed on the floor for 5-10 minutes gasping. went outside and hurled once. now have coughing ...

well the damn indoor rowing championship is in 2 days. i have probably rowed 6 miles a day for 4-5 days a week for 2 months at low intensity (rockford files training). lately, i do a 10k with two 8 min 2k's in it. but no high intensity anaerobic training on the rower to speak of. now i'd like to ski...

well hell, you guys got me thinking i need to go harder now, and that will lead to doing the damn (and i mean damn) indoor again on jan 31, and i haven't specifically trained for it (speed work) and i am set up for failure depending on who shows up (the only spot that matters in #1) and i will go in...

tbartman, just browsing thru this thread, not sure what your goals are in the triathlon, but any distance shorter than a half ironman, the bike is the key... i'm an average swimmer, slightly above average runner, and a good time trialist on the bike and when i do tri's i finish above my fitness leve...

Guys, just curious on if you think rowing 5 days a week for 10K in about 50 minutes produces much physical benefits? been doing it for probably 2-3 months. (been watching the rockford files lately on dvd, one episode per session). Benefits to me would include being stronger aerobically on the bicycl...

Hi guys, New to the forum and just want to communicate my "feelings" about rowing to someone :-) Rowing is a nightmare and I mean that literally... I'm a cyclist/half ass triathlete and bought an erg last year because my buddy talked me into it and I thought it might strengthen my core and help my a...

hey guys, kind of new to the game on this (first post), but i was watching chris carmichaels boring time trial training dvd while rowing the other day and turned a 39:46... basically, they did like a 10 minute warm up on the bike with two 1 minute efforts mixed in then did 5 min hard, 5 easy, 5 hard...
