Re: Looking for a Plan........
Thanks for the tips. I agree about the eating, and have been on a weight loss plan for about two weeks now. I knew I wanted to get that straight before starting to row. And you're absolutely correct, I think, that 10k should be my goal distance, at least until I lose the weight. Thanks again for tak...

Looking for a Plan........
After many false starts, I am ready to get rowing and get fit. Background: Male, 55, 6'4" 260 lbs, waaay out of shape, but basically intact (no chronic health or joint issues). I used to row for fitness, the last time I did it regularly was maybe 18 years ago. I was not fast, but I enjoyed doing 5ks...

Being Stalked By Concept 2!
I bought my first Concept 2 (a model C) new when I lived in Northern NY State in the 1990s. I used it religiously for a while, especially when my son was diagnosed with leukemia at 7 years old. It helped me through that very stressful period. I hadn't been using it much, so I ended up selling it bef...

Re: I'm baaaaack!
As a followup, I bought the smartphone cradle and Android cord, bringing my total cost of acquisition to $65 :o I looked at the total distance, and it was 16.5km. It could have been reset, but this machine really doesn't look used. It is so much quieter than my Model C was! http://s25.postimg.org/eq...

Thanks. That's too bad. Not a huge deal though, just a convenience thing.

Framelock Retrofit for Pre-2006 Model D?
Is this available? I just acquired a pre-2006 model D for a song, but I really like the convenience of the new framelock design.

I'm baaaaack!
I originally bought a Model C in the late 90s. I loved the machine. It got me fit, and it got me through hard times (like my 7 year old son's leukemia treatments). I lived in Vermont/Upper NY at the time, and I actually met some of the Concept II guys. We moved to Virginia (where we didn't have a ba...
