I did 5300 meters today, which is chopped liver compared to most of you, but 300 more than I've been able to do up until now. Haven't lost any weight, but since I trained for and walked a marathon without losing weight, I'm despairing of having that happen, short of full body liposuction. How many m...

An earlier message mentioned trying to row every day. I thought it might be of interest to hear that the February issue of Runner's World addresses this subject and says that the latest thinking is that it's okay to take two or three days off each week, even when training for a major event like a ma...

I came back from my trip (lots of stress, too much sugar to keep going), staggered into the house, kissed the dog, scratched the cats, waved to my husband (like my priorities?) and hopped on the rower. Now it's 5000 meters and lots of sweat later (still warm in SWFL), and I may have made up for one ...

I hate to ruffle feathers (sorry, but any duck puns I can think of have been used up), but I'm leaving town until Friday and I doubt my hotel will have an erg. I'm definitely inspired by some of the numbers I'm seeing, and will try to do my part when I get back. Happy new year, all.

Wendy

Thanks to our captain for volunteering. I'm still getting used to exercising without having to spend 15 minutes taping up my feet the way I did when I trained to walk a marathon. No blisters; no lost toenails; and a bevy of ducks to keep me motivated. What could be better?

Wendy
