Next time start off at 2:08 for the first hour, 2:07 the second hour then 2:06 or lower (depending how you feel) for the remainder. When I did my first marathon I had slightly better PBs than you on some pieces and slightly worse on others. I started off at 2:08 (for about 20') but was probably aver...

I'm short even for a lightweight (161.5cm) but my best is 7:11.3 which was good enough to break the world record for 30-39LF at the 1997 CRASH-Bs. Unfortunately 3 other (taller) women beat the record by bigger margins in the same race.

I completed the event two weeks ago with a final distance of 241,749m. As expected, the last 9-10 hrs was miserable but I survived. I managed to raise almost $900CDN for Habitat for Humanity from that event.

As for the renal failure issue, I never felt like I had problem that way. I think...

In less than 2 days I am going after my biggest ever PB: the 24 hour world record. Yes, I'm scared I'll DNF. I've deliberately put pressure on myself to finish by seeking media attention (it's a fundraiser for Habitat for Humanity). I believe I can do it but I'm still losing sleep worrying about it....

Try subtracting 5-6% from their 20' split. It's very hard to estimate target rates for young athletes with little erging experience because they usually fly and die or hold back too much and don't perform to their true potential until they have a lot of experience. Schedule another 2K test after thi...

I started erging just because it was the new piece of equipment in the gym. It helped me recover from an old back injury. Then I realized that I was actually doing pretty good on it. Since then I've had quite a lot of #1 rankings which is fun.

I'll probably erg for the rest of my life because...

Having a very high drag setting will probably not give you your best performance. Most beginners will simply move thru the drive more slowly in resulting in the same power output (during the actual drive). Assuming you are going at the same stroke rate as you would with a lighter drag, longer drive ...
