I did it, too - no accidents this time! Moved up a few places in the ranking, too (at the back of the pack, don't worry). Great idea, Robin!

See you next Thursday?

I'm up for it! Not expecting to change my (slow) ranking as I just switched to morning workouts -- yawn. As long as I don't fall off again like I did this morning, I should survive --- seat got caught on towel, it stopped, I didn't! Ow! Got right back on, though, like a madwoman.

DONE! Finished around 20:30 last night. My finger blisters are pretty sore today, and my left hip flexor was screaming last night, but other than that I'm just fine. I guess I won't be afraid of a little 10K anymore!

Jenny, I'm really glad you got to do this yesterday - I hope you're well...

Here I am, announcing it in public so I have to follow through: I'm going to try the 21K row! I've never done more than 10K in one session, or actually even one day, so this is a big challenge for me.

I got up early-ish and did the first 7K before work... I _never_ work out in the mornin...

Woohoo! Congratulations on the million meters (we knew you could do it!) and the anniversary, Kathi! Very inspiring stuff. I hope you have a great time on the water, and please keep providing reports! Maybe one day when I get my times down a LOT, I will be joining the ranks of the on-water Ducks. Th...

Hello, everyone!

Jenny and Ellen, I hope you're well again soon.

I did something really beneficial yesterday: I had a friend take some video footage of me rowing. Boy, did I learn some things! Before I rowed, I watched the C2 technique video again to refresh my memory of what i...

Thanks for putting your photo up, Shari! (At least I assume that's you.) I get a charge out of knowing what everyone looks like - makes the team seem more real and less "virtual".

Welcome to the new team members, Sandi and Niobe, too! I've only been at this regularly since last December ...

Yay, Mallard! Only 6 days into the new season and you're already kicking some serious a$$.

Good luck to the rest of you (KathiS, Bufflehead) who will be doing marathons or HMs soon - you have my utmost respect! Maybe in a year or two I'll try it out with you. I have yet to accomplish a c...

Go, Harly!! Less than 11 K left to go! I was thinking/ hoping I was done for the 2005 season, but if you can go for 2 million, I guess I can manage to eke out another 8 or 10K tomorrow in your honor. (Dawn says to herself, "Great, now I've made a public declaration, now I have to follow through.") <...

I did my first 10K workout ever today... and I survived! Since I made it up to 8.5K earlier in the week, I thought I'd give a full 10K a try before the end of the season. It was an interval session, not rank-worthy, but I rowed every single one of those meters, goshdarnit.
Now I am going to re...

A thought:

Would it be prudent to start another subforum for people seeking training partners (sort of a classifieds board)? I've noticed a couple of people looking for training partners, but their messages quickly get buried by other topics.

Hey there, ducks! I'm still meeting my 20K+ per week goal. While it's a minor contribution compared to a lot of you, I have to say I'm excited about the possibility of the team staying in the top 25! I really just got going with this in December/ January, so I'm looking forward to adding a lot more ...

Hi Mallard -
I hadn't really given the training partner thing much thought... I guess I assumed that folks would be looking for more seasoned veterans & talking about breaking world records! (Not my gig, really.) I am happy to read that your goals are identical to mine. I'm 32 and have only one...
