The one excercise that I find useful in preparing for skiing (skiing or snowboarding) is the wall sit. This was sometimes used in schools to measure kids conditioning - say 1minute, 2 minutes, 3 minutes sitting. Its sitting (with the knees at a 90-degree angle) and the back resting on the wall. Try ...

Agree with Andrew. I'm a second year sprint kayaker (K1) and still working on my technique. Technique plays a big part in the boats speed. A friends wife compared kayaking to golf, where you can waste alot of time on simply trying to get the technique smooth.

My summer was kayaking, and ...

Maybe DR has outsourced development to India?

Just joking. I have not used Rowpro yet.

I row in an unfinished basement and PC/internet access is not convenient. But from the discussions it seems to be an excellent product for races, group training, and individual sessions. <b...

To be truthful, burnout & stress concerns was why I bought the Concept2 instead of a kayaking erg. Plus Concept2's strong reputation - both from the company and the support through these pages (forums, rankings, rowpro, ...).

I didn't want to burn-out training all winter on a kayak simula...

Hi,

I'm interested in using the Concept2 as a cross-trainer for sprint kayaking. I've come across a kayak adaptor from Vermont Waterways. Has anyone used this adaptor? Health and Fitness
I found the Concept 2 UK web site to be very helpful in putting together a training routine. The "interactive training programme" allows you enter your fitness level (sedentary, moderately fit, fit, trained, athlete) and the number of workouts you plan to do a week. It will then make a trainin...

I'm new to the rowing and erging. I just took up kayaking (K1) and thought a winter of erging would be good training - and would not what little kayaking technique I have developed.

I have been reading many posts and have seen much discussion about rowing at 7 metres per stroke and 10 mps (7 ...
