Hi, I am a fairly skinny 6'4" male rower, who is a sophomore in highschool. I am wondering if anyone had any suggestions as to what extra workouts I can be doing on top of 15 hours of practice a week. Which weightlifting machine helps rower more? Seated leg press, where you are sitting in a chair and you press forward on a horizontal plane , or regular leg press, where you are on your back or on an incline, and push up? Thanks a lot

Its never to late! Nearly half of the Olympic rowing team started in college. While you might find it hard to be recruited, it sounds like you are already fit, and swimming translates well to rowing. Rowing has many rewards other than recruitment, so you should really do it!
