Training

Thanks guys. I figured I was doing fine. Thanks for all the detail, George. I mean, I'm certainly improving. Now I'm just curious about what my new 2k time is and what to swap it for. I think Doug had some good ideas in that regard.

Take care,

Dave

Training

I'm in my fourth week of the Pete plan and I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for how often I ought to do 2K trials, since the pace for the workouts is determined from that.

I no longer use my original 2K time as it's already too slow a pace. I just try to do at least as well ...

Weight Loss/ Weight Control

Just some thoughts on my own experience... I may not know the science behind it, but I can tell you what I've observed. I hope it's worth something!

I started WW points at the beginning of January, and I coupled it with rowing. I haven't been this active since, probably late 2000. I'm a 3...

Training

Rowed 15,000 m today. Longest I've done before this was a bit over 9,000m. Took me 72 minutes, but it felt good. Day 2 of Pete's Plan.

Training

Per a suggestion in the PB thread, I started the "Pete Plan" today, and I really enjoyed it. 8x500m/3:30r. I had some split times I've never seen before, which was cool. Feels great to work out after a rest day!

Website Feedback

Was thinking of getting heartrate monitor and PM3 card reader, but the online store seems to be gone. Is ordering done only by email now?

Training

I got my C2 3 weeks ago and decided, after very consistent training, that I'd set a baseline for a bunch of different ranked times and distances. I've already seen improvement in just 3 weeks, so I wanted to get my times down so I could really appreciate my improvement.

I know that my tim...

Hi. My name is Dave, and I'm supposed to receive my new Concept 2 today!

I'm 31, a stay-at-home dad of a 1 year old girl, and since my wife first got pregnant, I somehow put on about 35 pounds. I'm sick and tired of lugging around this fat. So the erg is to help me and my wife lose the w...
