I did the Body Gem RMR (Resting Metabolic Rate) measured a couple of weeks ago. It's great! You just sit and blow into the machine for 5-10 minutes and presto! You know your RMR. There's a calculator on the website to estimate your RMR. Turns out that mine was 400 calories more per day than the webs...

Yeah - I finished my 200k HC w/ a (pathetically slow) HM - woohoo!

It's probably a t-shirt for me instead of a hoodie since i'm in texas and it's going to be 70 on Christmas - but i'm very pleased nonetheless.

Michelle

Well, I'm not a doctor, nor do i play one on TV - but the tightness after you row may be more of the using new muscles variety of pain - especially if it's getting better (which is always good!) But don't try to push it - I'm a believer in listening to my body if something doesn't feel right. Of cou...

I did it this month - I don't do this one very often, but was here tonight and had a few extra minutes tonight. But I've also decided that this isn't my favorite - I'm just not a sprinter I guess - I enjoyed my half marathon on Saturday more.

But sometimes, you gotta suck it up and take ...

Hi Cuserower02 -

Does it hurt during the row or after or both?
Have you ever had this sort of thing when you've rowed before?

I've had back issues over the years - every so often I've pulled/ strained a muscle doing something/ whatever, and then aggrevated things by doi...

Grams - You are the WOMAN! You rock - I can only hope that I can follow in your footsteps someday!

Otherwise - I'm 50k into the challenge. I have never rowed that many meters in one week, so I'm thrilled - and except for the not so fun sore bum - not hurting!! And this was supposed to be...
Hi Ellen!

I hit my million meters today! And you're right, it feels mighty good seeing that grand total. I had to row over 17k today to hit it, but I wanted to get it before I started the Holiday Challenge, just to have a clean slate for the next "goal." And I burned up 900kcal to, ...

Wow, Kelley, you have been having some rough times lately! You're right about the rowing though--sure helps to de-stress. CookieMonster and I discussed once about the value of "comfort foods," and we then decided that there is such a thing as "comfort rowing." We were kinda/sorta joking about it, bu...

November was bad - i was sick, crazy busy w/ school, and had an uncle that got sick & passed away last week. So I'm ready to work off alot of stress on t...
