Ummm, if you mean love it, I guess only in my increased overall fitness. However, I find it to be a tool, and thus would prefer to row on the water any other day. Of course, on a day when you're braindead, I'd rather just go erg. I don't have to think as much about my technique, which makes it nice ...

I think almost everyone is basically saying the same thing differently which is:

1) None of us believe that PaulS has lied
2) None of us exactly now how his time should be looked at under the circumstances provided by PaulS

I'd be more than happy to offer a small donation. I'm practically broke and applying to college soon so it won't be much, but it will at least be something . BTW how should I get you the money?

I highly doubt in the first place anyone would lay claim to a time that could be a world record and never actually have done it! Secondly, we're not 100% sure if the time for the A translates to a C/D. Either way, sounds like an amazing time and I just hope I'll even come close to that someday.

ummm, I'm a guy and I have absolutely no experience and no need. However, my mom after having four children including two twins gained a decent amount of weight and kept it on for probably around 10 years. After frustration with her inability to lose any weight through running she signed up for L.A ...

I was wondering if people bend their wrists when erging. I know that it seems to make my erg times slightly faster and I've seen it on videos, however this is a very weak position on the water and I don't know if this will become a habit..

Well, since try outs are in a couple of days it would be pointless to exercise since your muscles will be killing you at tryouts then. Probably do some running, maybe a few miles. Drinking wise, you should probably have a lot of water before your tryouts so you won't be dehydrated. BTW, wut position...

On a 2k test you should go at a stroke rate 28+. However, for long distance pieces I'll usually go at 20-21 stroke rate. This will really help you build power in each of your strokes and will help you have a very strong technique. Also, perhaps you should think about putting on some weight. The cut ...

When you row the majority of your power will come from your legs so perhaps you should do some leg exercises. Also, you should do some ab workouts so you'll stay connected through the drive. Finally, a lot of rowing is endurance so you should run or erg. Personally, I think you should focus more on ...

Before you take a 2k you should prolly do a 10-15 min. warm up. You're pace shouldn't be fast, I'll have my split as high as 3:00. However, you ideally want to start sweating and get the blood flowing. You should go easy with a couple of power 10's (at least this works 4 me)

You should try to do your 5k's at a relatively low stroke rate, probably around 20-22. This will help you gain power and make sure you have good technique on the erg.
