Nice thread. I used to have to commute 2hrs+ each way for work so it was motivating to go to the gym after work as it would mean I would miss rush hour traffic and my commute home would halve, so I would get home almost the same time as if I didn't go to the gym but I would have got a work out done ...

I had one tooth out (3 from the back so not wisdom) on Wednesday afternoon and went back to training Thursday morning. It did take until this morning to stop bleeding though so maybe I should have left it another day :? .

That is a 2:03.2/500m pace and seems at least in the ballpark of a reasonable estimate. I think that would be about right and if I were you for a first attempt would go along at 2:04 pace for the 1st 5k and if you still have plenty of energy left in the tank at the end you can bring the average dow...
