Ha!

Don't feel defeated! I am 6ft tall and a woman. I am a BAD athlete! My best mile time (running) is 9 minutes flat, and these sorts of times correlate directly with my rowing abilities :) Height does not correspond with athleticism! I would rather be shorter and be fitter and a better athlete than ta...

A product called "NewSkin" is terrific as well. It is essentially at liquid bandage that you brush onto the skin. Invisible, flexible and waterproof.

Great! Really Helpful - thanks. Tried some of these at the gym today, but I didn't feel much of a "burn". Will try again tomorrow while examining my technique more closely. Again: Plus, I would love to know what a woman my age would be rowing at if they were on a collegiate crew. I'm extremely compe...

I am foreign to weight machines and any exercises regarding core strength training. Any tips?

Again, Thank you all.

Thank you very much for your reply. Your answers are very factual and backed up with experience - both most appreciated. 1.) I'm working on increasing the time I row every week. This week I have started on 16 minute rows. In addition to this continuous, timed rowing, I will also sit on the erg and d...

You seem to be keen and motivated about keeping going, which is great. I'm still new to this, but logging my statistics after each row really help to keep me motivated. It helps you see that you truly ARE improving, if only a little, each day.
