TabbRows-- Interesting. Now I'm back to wondering :) Bob-- Yep...I'm on a PM1. It does indeed reset at 59:59 and 9999 meters. Not the end of the world though as both keep ticking along (just from 0 again). So the next 2195 I hit after the 3rd time reset (unfortunately not a sub-3hr kinda guy) = the ...

Kangaroo-- Sorry...too old-school (PM1)...no can do. John-- Thanks for all the excellent info! Postings I had read in the past had always lead me to believe a stock ModelB with the ring still was only able to get down to 140-150 or so...that you had to resort to taping cardboard, etc around the whee...

Difficulty of long distances on a ModelB vs newer
Hey all, Doing the whole marathon thing again for the challenge renewed my curiosity in something I've wondered about ever since learning about Drag factor, etc. I'm on a ModelB. I have the speed ring (which helps) but my understanding is that my lowest drag factor still is considerably higher than ...

How does the body burn/use fat from fat stores? It typically takes around 20ish minutes with a raised heartrate for your body to switch over from burning your short-term reserves to fat for energy. Once this occurs...it begins "burning" each gram of stored fat in a similar fashion to any other. How...

As with all customer service experiences (referring to any company not just C2), a reply would make a world of difference even if it was to say that there is an 8 week backlog. Communication is of greater importance to me than the actual delivery / resolution time (provided the communication isn't ...

I'm popping back in to give my own thread a bump. Seems as though...despite Dena forwarding my email onto Jennifer...I still have not heard anything back. I've noticed a few others who tossed a marathon into their Holiday Challenge mix. Did any of you email Jennifer about a mug and if so...actually ...

some people will row for a month and then at the end of that month, log the meters they rowed which results in a VERY high daily rowing. my friend is doing that for the holiday challenge but i encouraged him not to. Actually...I don't believe this would influence anything. The average appears to be...

Thx couch! Should finish up the challenge sometime next week or so. After that...the first million's the target (more free stuff!!!:)!!!)! Unfortunately...without the ability of earning another mug until next season...no more marathons for me till then (really did just do it for the mug!) :). As for...

Help from any who recently emailed about a marathon mug
Anyone out there recently complete a marathon? If so... (a) did you email C2 about getting a mug? (b) can you share the email address you sent to? I know it's sad...but I really want my mug :( I don't care how long it takes to get to me...but I've emailed the address listed on the marathon page (Jen...

I used the "cover-up technique" this past weekend when I did my first marathon and it helped infinitely. A small piece of masking tape over the elapsed time..and one over the total meters...and off I went. Managed not to peak until 2hr15min into it. Had I been able to see the minutes and meters tick...

Actually...I was referring to: http://www.concept2.com/sranking03/challenge/annual_meters2008.asp?daily=2500 From your online log...if you click "Challenges"...the first one listed is "Annual Meters Honor Board". Right below the link (the one I pasted above)...it tells you your own average. The only...

Michael, Thanks! I ran the Chicago marathon a few years ago and around the 20 mile mark someone told me that a cold beer was waiting for me at the end (I was getting sick of the whole running thing and had proposed stopping into a bar if we passed one...just for a quick one!:)!). I thought he was jo...
