I think height can be an advantage in a boat and on the erg, but a problem with handicapping for it would be actually measuring it. I believe that you tend to get slightly shorter during the day, and gain a bit of length over night as you sleep so the time of day you are measured could be a factor. ...

Doesn’t sound quite right to me. I believe that the monitor gives a minimum reading of 300 calories/hour – a credit just for sitting on the machine.
